KTLA Channel 5... with all of the TV networks and all of the other Los Angeles TV stations gone from Hollywood, only KTLA is left. Right there at the 101 Freeway, on Sunset, on what is now the Sunset Bronson Studios lot (the old Warner Bros lot).
Sadly; GameTV removed "The New Liars Club" last year ( 61 year old mom was upset that it was removed; but she is glad that they didn't remove "Talkabout" or "Bumper Stumpers").
I have vague memories of this show (not necessarily this episode) and it looking like something out of the late '70s, but it had to have been in reruns or something since I don't have any memories until the mid/late '80s. Probably USA Network reruns in 1986/87.
Thank you for sharing, Wink! I remember watching a couple of episodes of this show as a young boy in the 80s, and hadn’t seen it since then. Think I’m going to search here on TH-cam for more!
I remember the episodes with Bill Armstrong since USA ran those particular ones. I never saw Allen host any, not sure if they were "part of the package" then. I also remember a handful of the 80s episodes too. Of course the ones I saw also had FOUR people playing, not three.
@Wink Martindale What made you and Bob Eubanks great game show hosts? Personality. You were both funny, entertaining, and I enjoyed the game shows you hosted.
Liar’s Club Show #607 (Taped October 9, 1978) and (Aired Sometime in Early 1979), This is before we’re Bob Eubanks hosted All-Star Secrets in January 8, 1979 on NBC, along with Password Plus hosted by Allen Ludden.
According to Game Shows Wiki, Mickey Manners hosted an unaired episode of "You Don't Say" in the Summer of 1968. The show was an audition for a replacement for Tom Kennedy. The guests were Pearl Bailey and Bill Cullen. Of course, Kennedy continued hosting "You Don't Say!" for the remainder of the NBC run as well as the 1975 revival.
R.I.P. BETTY WHITE, hope you and Allen are up there together, happier than ever, and hamming it up playing Password, Match Game, and The Liars Club.
These are three lovely contestants and a great Liar's Club classic game show!
My family and I always did like this show.. You never knew what Dody would say or do next, but she was always on the edge..

Bob and Allen hosted shows for NBC in 1979, gee, what was one, , the other, not as long.
Allen Ludden : Password Plus
Bob Eubanks: All Star Secrets
Happy Birthday, "young" man!
I remember this show.
We had a Canadian version which is still sometimes on tv.

This was one of the few episodes that are not distributed by Four Star in 1984, and never appeared on USA in 1985 or 1986.
Go ahead Wink!!!! That's what's up right here. This was kool. Ladies seem to believe Bob most of the time.
Miss the Art corner in this version of the Liars' Club.

I guessed one. And I mean guess. 😂. Thanks Wink! Also your friend Elvis’s birthday today. I did know that.

Happy Birthday, Bob! And thanks, Wink, for the upload! :D Actually this is the first time I've ever watched this, and I loved it.

R.I.P. Allen Ludden, Larry Hovis. Dody Goodman
Dody Goodman was a riot!
Get all 4 rounds and get a security system as a bonus? How cheap! Break out those trips or even a car!
Allen was the best. Such a great host, so smooth and in control. But hard to believe we wore ridiculous looking eyeglasses like that back in the day.
Wink Martindale hi happy new year and how are you?
