Hey everyone! Just in case you missed it at the start of the video: this is Part 1 of a much longer request. I love OC and love CP (yes, present tense cus I will love them forever). Lipstick and FM are, respectively, my favorites songs from Orange Caramel and Crayon Pop.
I feel happy and silly when I listen to them and sometimes that's what I need to deal with some real shit that's popping. People forgot how to appreciate the silly things...even kids nowadays are so strict and stressed! (yeap, I'm a 90' bitch and in my childhood, a kids biggest problem was how to confess to mommy that he got dirt on his new clothes or something like this)
One of the few or only subunits that has as much fame as the whole group 😩 sometimes i think people know more Orange Caramel than After School

Not to mention just generally one of if not the most popular female group subunits for the longest time. Honestly when I think subunits even to this day its orange caramel first

What I love most about Orange Caramel, besides the fact that each song is a bop, is that they weren't afraid to do something totally different from other groups. They weren't afraid to show their quirky sides, whereas most girl groups fit into more conventional molds like "cute", "pretty", or "girl crush", for example. Well, that's why they were a sub-unit after all.
Also, on a related topic, there's currently a kind of reality/contest show airing called "Miss Back" where they picked out various female idols who used to be in popular groups, and are giving them another chance to be in the limelight again, and one of the contestants is Raina, the main vocalist here, if you were interested in watching that ;0
I could be mistaken but I believe the members can be sorted by size, from smallest to tallest: Raina, Lizzy, Nana. XD
It's so frustrating when people focus mainly on the visuals and don't notice how all orange caramel songs are absolute bops, im glad you get it

what you said about majority of reactors (if they reacted to oc) was so true about not really "getting it" i imagine lots of kpop reactors may not be familiar with the j-pop/アイドル, (aidoru) influence as well as quirky "kawaii" concepts not being very popular concepts and it kinda makes me sad since I found kpop after getting into japanese media and was already acquainted with the hyperfemininity and sillyness of jpop anyway sorry for the long mini rant great video!

It’s impossible not to have a great time while watching Orange Caramel! They are just that kind of group. I’m excited for you to check out the rest of their MVs cause yeah, they’re all on that level of iconic, and My copycat might be my favorite K-pop music video full stop, it’s so fun!!
I second the people saying if you like them you’re going to enjoy Crayon Pop. They both have this kind of cute/weird vibe that just makes me happy.

Orange Caramel is the BEST unit k-pop will ever have. I'm obsessed with them!!!!!!!!!!! I love everything about them so muchhh. Also Nana will forever be my biggest kpop crush
I HAVEN’T WATCHED YET BUT I NEED TO COMMENT!!! I love them so much 💖 They were so weird, ridiculous, and quirky during a time in kpop where female groups were largely transitioning to or debuting with “stronger” concepts so they were always a welcome breath of fresh. No one has done it like them before or since!

Wasn't there a 3rd gen gg who's trying out this kind of concept. I saw them in a music show, and I cringed so hard and not in a good way like orange caramel made me feel.
Orange Caramel made smile, and I watch from start to end. That other gg just made me chage channel so fast. They were trying and exaggerating so much it just felt so fake.
They were so fun! talent, creative, funnn!! They have a minnie doc. about them that's good, but I ca't remember the title, the tallest(Nana,was a model) is a pretty good kpop actress.The male in the 1st mv is a drummer Minkyuk, fr a kpop group, CNblue, who has just has a come back , but also now an actor also.

my God. The high note was raina. She does that. She created an advertisement for Baskin Robin's flavored shaved ice. To get a feel for what they were capable of look them up on Immortal songs. I hope you make it all the way through. After School had two other subunits. Red and Blue. Each had only one video. After School Red's video you would love. There were two other projects. Mystic White and Dazzling Red. Incredible talent was collected and then they were given crappy songs and chorios to work with. A great pity. Catalina means red wind, if I recall correctly.

Suggestion to listen/watch: they appeared on Picnic Live and did accoustic live session. Really good.
I'm still hoping they meet up again as OC or After School and do something. That would be one of the best days in kpop history.
That comment how you just kinda know when a reactor/someone doesnt really know and understand orange caramel. It didnt hit me until you mentioned it but its so very true. I've seen a few other reactions to oc and wasn't nearly as satisfied as I figured I'd be. This trumps all of them. When you know, you know. And boy did you know.
if you ever want a demonstration that in K-Pop the lyrics and video don't have to come even close to saying the same thing look up the lyrics for Aing. You can find them in the dance version.
