I can see why they're doing a show with mainly these two. They're a hoot! During the first few seasons I kind of shipped them, but they actually work better as a comedic duo, with the occasional innuendos in between. Kind of like a mix-gender Jay and Silent Bob, without the cannabis. Which gives me an idea...what if Daryl and Carol stumbled on an old hippie stash somewhere and decided to have a big ol' smokeout? That would be comedy gold.
I like your take on their relationship, even though I’m a Caryl shipper myself. Their relationship has so many layers (banter, shared trauma, longing for each other, etc) they have the potential to truly have it all! Unfortunately for all fans of this dynamic duo, they aren’t doing a show with them anymore… Amc decided to move the production to France, which made it untenable for Melissa McBride to participate in the spinoff. :/
It’s a shame these guys didn’t become more than friends ,they’d have been an unstoppable duo worthy of their own spin off,but i see why twd universe didn’t do that.two damaged individuals inadvertently forced to be the bad guys to preserve their group and hating themselves for it ,believing they’re undeserving of love.i mean now they’re still an unstoppable duo when they get together but they’re still loners who prefer solitude,with the occasional animal companion in Daryl’s case.
(Having not seen all this video completely) I just want to comment that these two were best buddies and I never saw any romance type notions between the two of them. Only carol, and Daryl always rejected them.
and she clearly was joking all the time anyways until season 3 they had perfect potential to become a couple but the writting ruined it so we lost hope and everyone knew they are just friends since season 6 lmao its so funny to me when yall make excuses because no one knew richonne would become a thing and suddenly them have a kid lmao (i ship them too im just saying)
It’s seriously would’ve been better if they had Daryl and Carol become a couple instead of having that crappy storyline with him and Leah or with him and Isabella seriously
My favourite part is there not romantic. I love them being platonic bffs and acting like school kids. Everyone needs a platonic soulmate and platonic love is no less meaningful than romantic love.
