A humbling experience, receiving a medal for mission performance, but there's no time to rest!
Apparently, we're to intercept a Coalition carrier, and it's the real deal.
I wonder what could possibly go wrong for this mission to require me to spend the better part of an entire day to get it right?

06:21 be careful there if you take too long you *can* lose the ANS Reliant and then have to bug out to ANS Yamato which i saw in another gameplay.
It seems I'm not the only one with a problem with the Saracen leader.

This particular mission was a harrowing experience - The enemy fighters kept destroying the life pods very, VERY quickly, and I had to retry the mission countless times before I managed a run where I absolutely went ham with screamers and took down as many fighters as I could as fast as possible.
This is that run.
@@CptPakundo I never managed to do well on this mission, I was happy to save the general and move on, cursing the designers who made it impossible. Good solution, going full burn ASAP and hosing the formation of fighters with screamers
@@CptPakundo I'm playing it right now and failing over and over. This is crazy difficult. I have to switch to a boring blind fire ship now.
@@JAnx01 The idea is to stock on screamers and with them take out as many Sabers as you can, as they launch from the portside of the Ramases. With a bit of luck you can take out 3 or 4 out of 5 just in the one pass. Then you need to rush in the direction of fartherst rescue ship and clear 3 or so remaining Sabers, which aimed at the pods in that area. Half of the enemy fighters are scripted to attack you wingmates, while the other go for the pods, and you need to quickly identify who is who, which isn't trivial task because of the useless radar screen and terrible HUD in general.
@@Scorch0017 I don't know think I was able to reach Ramases in time to take them out as they launch despite burning the whole time, but yeah, I was probably wasting time with the wrong Sabers.

I am just now replaying this game and kept wondering if I am missing something in this mission because I could barely react before all life pods are destroyed. But as it seems I just need to get better and power through.
Afterburners and proton cannons screamers. Take out the fighters as quickly as possible and target the ships closest to the life pods.
What difficulty is this? Cause on normal I can kill up to 18 fighters but never more. And I have tried like 30 times in a week so far...
This was played on Hard, and it really is that kind of mission that requires ALOT of attempts to get right. Luck also plays a role.
@@CptPakundo I mean, on hard they supposed to have even more HP. How can u even come close to shooting down such number of fighters... Theres no way man, no freakin way.. Im on my 40th try and its always the same numbers..

If only there was a Coalition campaign.
