Been doing rows for a long time now and they are one of my favourite exercises. The contraction at the top just hits the spot.

    Great Vid Tao.
Pushing movements get most of the love being the front side of the body and thus more visible. And pull ups definitely have that impressive appeal. But you gotta have equal pulling and pushing volume! Rows are a great way do to this. And tons of variations with grip, unilateral, or front lever like you showed!

I love rows, they've quickly become my favorite exercise. They feel so good to do, the gains are amazing, and it seems like there's infinite variations to make them harder and more interesting.

Matthew 13:18-23 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Thanks man! I was instructed to do this exercise by HybridCalisthenics. I forget his name but he's here on TH-cam as well. I did not believe him enough though. He said this was a variation leading up to the regular pullup. This video reinforced my belief in this exercise he recommended me. I thought I was doing a pointless exercise at first but thanks for being a second recommendation.

Hey Tao, I've been following your channels and IG pages since I discovered u way back 2020 (when pandemic arises and there's no access to gym so I become motivated to start calisthenics) and your channel becomes my main source of information about working out because all of the contents u created is so helpful and informative. Now, since my schedule is so tight because everything is going back to normal from pandemic, I just want to do minimalist push up, row, and squat as a fullbody workout and I'm thinking if this would be enough for good looking physique?

    • @loganjohn5863

Hi Tao. I have a question and i would like to know, what do you think. So, i train 6 month with Rings (only). And i love it. When i train my back, i use only the normal grip. I also tried the false grip. Was painful, but "successful". And have to say, i enjoyed. BUT, if Muscle Up is not my goal (of course gonna try), should i even do with false grip the row? Does it make any sense? I like both, but which gonna gives me better results in long term? Thank you! And you are the best!!!! :)
