i've owned two of these things and in my experience, i can't really say that it's "transparent." I think it's got a pretty prominent mid-hump throughout the entire sweep of the tone knob. currently i use it as a post-drive volume boost and the mid-hump works well for this application.
@walrusaudioeffects hey i have a vox ac30 handwired with a nice bright clean tone, and I've had for a while now a tubescreamer and a fulltone fulldrive 2. I've been looking for a overdrive pedal now for some time, and i want something that is in between the tones of both the pedals i just mentioned. I got a mxr badass od and i like it a lot but the problem is that it basically sounds the same as my fulldrive so i was wondering what you would recommend, the mayflower or the voyager?
Anyone else find this pedal makes audible noise through the amp or a delay when engaging it? No other true bypass pedal I have does this so wondering if its defective?
hey thanks, um i forgot to mention that i want another overdrive because i dont like using the boost on the full drive so i want this pedal for soloing clean/bright loud leads, will this serve this purpose?

I’d say it’s a lot more transparent with low to no gain, but at high gain it’s not as transparent.
You're one hell of a player
I'm going to get that pedal before 2012 ends. I need it.
I’m going to get this pedal before 2023 ends
@DrewGockel
It's a '96 USA Artist Custom.
Its on my short list of pedals to buy... Its gonna explode and be an epic famous pedal! The tone is yours, not your pedal!!! Awesome!
it will do it.
thanks i think when i get enough money ill try it out
@fishmank27 i have an emdrive and a wampler ego that both do that, a little background noise plus a pop
Really curious about what pickups those are. My guess is Duncan Antiquities?
That look he gives the camera at 5:30 after he rips that guitar near open.. like yeah, I did that
Uh there’s tons of guitar players that can play lead quite well. Where have you been?! 🙄
thanks

I swear if Than played through a hunk of wood, I'd buy it!
@theresonating The Voyager sounds like it would be able to help you out and give you a break from the fulldrive sound.
