    The truck wasn't parked cross-way the road. Suh please, stop unnu noise. It is indeed sad that she lost her life, but did you see the state of the SUV? Is not a probox dat enuh. Is not a AD wagon. Is not a Axio! That's a european SUV, a German suv, ripped open like a tin a new brunswick sardine. That driver was speeding, not paying attention and by the time he realized it was too late. Had he been doing a lower speed, he would have better able to maneuver even IF, as HE SAID, someone "bad drive" him. Very unfortunate about the young lady.
    And for those who keep going on and on about driving overseas, please to shut up. Because di people dem a farrin a big ediot driva dem. Big ediot driva pon some road that shouldn't even have accident di way dem big.

      The trucks park on the soft shoulder in a particular section and lit area. It isn't a long line of trucks. There are 3 full lanes for people to drive on.
      It was reckless driving that caused her demise, sadly. Whether people were racing next to them, like the driver said...or whatever the reason. Very tragic.

    My condolences to the family of Miss Williams. You are in my prayers. SSP Landford, that statement about parked trucks is unacceptable. The truck was not properly parked. Trucks must have reflectors and hazard lights on them if they are parked. I am so saddened by this news but SSP Landford's statement has angered me. What if that was your daughter? That truck should also have traffic cones to warn motorists that there is a stationed vehicle ahead. We need to prevent something like this from happening again.

      The police is not making any sense when he says, he doesn't have any concerns about the truck , why not ???the truck is a part of the accident, the truck driver should be held responsible for the accident,.that is not a parking garage for a truck on a narrow road., speeding is 99.9%responsible for death in an accident, ,.may God gives the family peace and grace to deal with this tragedy. O my God

    • @A.Walker.
      @A.Walker. 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It was parked on the soft shoulder, not on the main lanes. What if it had mechanical issues? The shoulder is there for us to pull of on if we have a problem. Blame the careless drivers!

    • @markstew09
      @markstew09 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@A.Walker. I understand, I pass there last night, there were three trucks and one pick up truck parked in the exact spot. I don't think mechanical failure was the reason. The soft shoulder on a highway facilitates the recovery from driver error in part. It shouldn't be the case a driver makes an error on a high way and possibility to recover is taken away by a parked truck with little or no reflectors.

  • @scienceforliving6020
    @scienceforliving6020 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    My deepest condolences to the family. This policeman if you knew anything about defensive driving you would not have said that last statement. Our roads are unsafe and our road infrastructure is not driver friendly in alot of places. Roads should be build and traffic manage to give drivers a chance to recover hence if the truck was park there it could have been wreckered or some caution sign put distance away from it. This is slackness and it is not the first these trucks are causing these accidents and the so called government we have has not addressed it.

    • @A.Walker.
      @A.Walker. 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was on the soft shoulder. The parked truck is not at fault. Whatever the reason for it being there it wasn't in a driving lane. There are 3 highway lanes.
      If any of us had been broken down on the highway the shoulder, though obviously not the safest place to be, it would also be our option.
      It is tragic, but I'm not sure the driver wasn't also partaking in a race. If I see people speeding around me I would keep my distance. We don't know the whole story. People are going to say what favors them, unless there are eyewitness to confirm it.

      He was on the soft shoulder. That's what soft shoulders are for. Who knows why the truck was there. Anyone's vehicle can be broken down and that is the place designated to pull off on. There are 3 full lanes for vehicular traffic to safely drive on.
      I hate it when, especially, our people, who happen to live abroad, start comparing Jamaica and it's lack to countries who are better off and can clearly afford better. It is unfair.

      Soft shoulders are there if a vehicle has issues. It could've been a car, with someone changing a flat tire, that they crashed into. There are 3 full lanes to drive in. The truck is not the problem. Careless driving is!
