If you get an "Error" message when connected to a vehicle, make sure the ignition is turned to the ON position. The "Error" message usually appears when the ignition isn't turned to the ON position. You can also get the engine running 1st, then connect tool 2nd. Our tools seem to better establish communication with certain vehicles this way
Everything says i can view live data with this but nowhere can i find instructions how. When i connect to bluetooth and click the live data button theres nothing there
The live data option showing up in the RS2 app is only for the 1000 wireless dongle which doesn't have a display screen. The 5110 doesn't support the live data. The 5210 handheld model and above support live data, but only on the handheld model. The live data can only be viewed on the display screen of the handheld models that support it, and can't be transferred over to the RS2 app.
Which model code reader do you have? None of our handheld code readers need to be charged. That USB port is for updating the code reader on a computer or laptop. All of our code readers power on through the vehicle's accessory fuses. The code reader should automatically power on when connected to the OBD2 port in the vehicle. If it doesn't, this means the vehicle has a blown accessory fuse. You'll need to check and replace the blown accessory fuse providing power to the OBD2 port for the code reader to power on and establish communication with the vehicle.
El 5110 sólo tiene la opción en inglés. Sin embargo, si usa la aplicación RS2 gratuita con el 5110, el idioma se puede cambiar a español en la Configuración de la aplicación RS2.

Mine won't come on at all. It does say data when I try to charge it up. Any suggestions?
