I bought an Innova 5610 in January 2024 from Amazon and I got a nice soft case, a 121 page English language manual, and a USB cable to connect to the computer. You can’t beat this tool for its capabilities vs price.
I bought this to replace a new Launch pad that failed. I was really pissed that there is no support for a Launch bought on Amazon. But it was fortuitous because the Innova is far better than the Launch. Real buttons, California-based support, and a great manual that is written by technical writers who know English. The manual itself is an education in automotive electronics. I bought this brand because other Innova devices I have acquired over the years have shown themselves to be durable well-designed tools.
I just bought this Innova 5610 scanner at O’Reilly’s September 2024 $309.00 I got the scanner and it looked used the box was a bit dirty and it sure looked like it had been opened it came with the cord to hook it up and a two page quick hookup guide. So I took it back they didn’t have anymore so they ordered another which came in the next day. This box looked clean and never opened I got home and the box said it was a 5610 but the scanner itself said 5610 v2 Which is version 2 it came with two cords one for the scanner hookup another cord to hook it up to a computer USB it also came with a nice size manual and a case and a rubber protective cover around the scanner itself. So far it seems like a nice unit.
It's probably showing throttle position around 13% because the newer cars idle with the throttle body. There is no Idle air control valve. So the car is holding the throttle body open a little bit for idling purposes.
I recently noticed I’m losing gas mileage. Also, my RPM goes up and down a little bit. I don’t have a check engine light on. Can this tool pinpoint the problem?
Does this do a compression test? I have a g35 and im debating on whether to get a new engine or mess w this one..currently looking for a good scan tool and this one seems to be it for me
you ‘if we buy this obd1 kit it will allow us to perform a lot of these same functions’?.. then why would anyone buy it if we already can perform these ‘same functions’ ?🤔
It can read and clear codes on both of those modules on many vehicles, but to be sure that it would work on your specific vehicle please visit www.innova.com/pages/coverage Thx! -Dan

Aftermarket bluetooth or wireless charger devices can mess with tpms signals and cause light on, have had that with my 2015 transit and 2008 charger

Gotta get one of these! 👍
Can this tool Do a EGR reset ? Can it scan for Fuel Pump or Do any compression test for a spark plugs ? Can you update using wifi Hotspot?
Good questions
Does this actually fix module issues?

Buy a leak down tool or compression test gauge
If you buy it used, can you download the app? Or, do you need a barcode from original purchase box?
You should be able to download the app without a barcode or anything like that.
