    Hi, I'm going to use it with the Ecoflow Power Kit. Is the van a euro6? The alternator for these newer vans might cause issues because it only charges when voltage is low.

    Great video thanks! Did you decide on an alternative location for the Alternator Charger since installation?

      Thank you. I will be feeding the cables behind the wall panel and having the Delta unit under the double seat. Quite bit of room under there and ventilation.

    Can you charge the D2 with your van just idling for an hour or do you have to drive around?

    Good idea from echoflow I’ve got a Anker c1000 I I’ve ask Anker are they looking at something similar the Anker c1000 is one of the best for charging from zero to 100% 58 minutes

      Plenty of options out there. Ultimately, after a lot of research. I opted for EcoFlow. Love their products and the alternator charged is amazing. Hope Anker introduce something similar and I am sure they will, if they haven't already. Thanks for the comment, Paul

    Well done! And very good idea to get faster charging! What do you think about connecting ecoflow alternator charger to the positive of service battery (instead of to van's engine battery)? (Sorry for my english...)

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PierFrancescoSerena-xi5cg thank you. You can connect to either the van battery or the leisure battery. The reason I didn’t was because the leisure batteries are charger by solar and the van alternator. The EcoFlow alternator charger also has the ability to reverse charge from the Delta power station so if the van battery is flat for any reason, I can still start the van from the Delta unit. I hope that this makes sense. Thanks again.

    Thanks for posting the video. I'm thinking of getting one for my motorhome and wondered if you can wire it up to the leisure battery rather than the starter battery. I'd prefer to do this purely because access would be much easier.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pghoward yes you can. You have the choice between the van battery or leisure battery. I chose van as the leisure more or less take care of themselves and would have more use if I needed to reverse charge to the van battery should it drain for any reason. Hope that helps.

      @@pixx.adventures Many thanks, that's great news as my Ecoflow is right next to the leisure battery under a bench seat so installing the charger next to them both should be simple. The only problem will be what to do with all the excess cable which won't be needed. I'm guessing coiling it up won't be ideal given the danger of overheating. Looking forward to Friday when it's due to arrive. 👍

    Could you show a better photo or description of the cable connections to the battery? I disconected the negative and positive cables of the battery, and when connected them again, I could not start my promaster 2023 van. The immobilizer fail light came on, and I could not reset it. I had to tow the car to the dealership. I am afraid it may happen again since I were not able to connect the aecoflow alternator charger. My mistake is i couldn't see well on the video where you connected the positive and negative cables of the ecoflow alternator charger. I thought they were supposed to be connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Am I wrong? Was I supposed to disconect the battery in order to connect the positive and negative cables of the ecoflow charger to the same terminals of the battery? Sorry for my ignorance. Thanks.

      @@alvaroplanchart sounds like you have done everything correctly. You just connect the positive and negative cables to the same on the battery. I didn’t disconnect my battery, when doing so.

    Hi there.. I bought one of these and fitted it two week's ago seemed to work well eveytime I started the car it charged my Delta pro at 800 watt all good.. until this weekend went away drove for an hour and a half it charged my Delta pro from 32% to 100% great but started the car this morning and its not working and on the app I see... Car battery port under voltage (32) cant find any answer....🤔

      @pixx.adventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@chambpain I sometimes set my voltage to charge when driving to 12v and then when I stop or it’s charged to stop it from draining the van battery set it to 14v OR set to 13v and it will only charge when over 13v and when it falls below as it will when at rest then it doesn’t drain your van battery. I am going to do another video in this very subject.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you. From what I have deduced and don't quote me on this as I need to confirm it, but our vehicle alternator is a smart alternator. When testing, the vehicle battery and leisure batteries seem to take priority and the power to the EcoFlow is reduced until which time they are fully charged. Once they are at full capacity the EcoFlow then goes to max power charging. As I said, I am still testing it and haven't had the chance to test it fully as yet as the van as been in the garage, being serviced etc. May need to also clarify this with EcoFlow directly. Hope that helps.

      Just to add, I have emailed EcoFlow for confirmation.

    • @vanandcountry
      @vanandcountry 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@pixx.adventures I think that would be the case. Ours is a smart alternator too. I also have the Delta 2 with a couple of flexible Ecoflow panels and when off grid I have the van plugged into the delta 2. Not overly efficient but it charges the van nicely without us having a drain on the leisure battery which is then fine for dull days. Need to find a way to go more direct to the leisure battery. Will also buy the spare Ecoflow battery too.

    HI FELLOW CAMPER . please may i ask what voltage or amps your starlink system draws from your ecoflow delta 2 , power consumption starlink uses. how many hours will starlink run on your ecoflow delta 2. and how will i know if my motorhome alternator is compatible with the ecoflow 800w ecoflow charger and wont burn out the fiat ducato alternator . thank you kindly

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI thanks for the message. Starlink draws more power when you first turn it on as it finds the satellites. About 110-120w. Once it has settled it ranges from 33w to 50w on average so will last quite a while as the Delta 2 is a 1024Kwh. How old is your FIAT DUCATO? Ours has a Smart Alternator on it so it decides on where it prioritises the power and where the charge goes to i.e. to the main van battery first. You will find that it doesn't always charge the Delta 2 at the full 800w, especially when driving. I will be putting another follow up video up soon with my findings after using the charger for a few months now.
