A study in the conservation of energy. Thousands of of kilojoules being released simultaneously in ultra chaos. Yet just meters away, human beings stand still embracing their individual energy within. Absolutely beautiful work here Tim🙏
This brings back such great memories. My wife and I were in Nazare in October 2 years ago so there were no big waves .. just intense, incredible peaceful beachscape and wonderful people. We learned the old ladies on the beach with their dried fish speak NO English .. :-), took the funicular up to the top, walked out to the big watching platform, walked back down and took a swing on the big swing on the hillside that takes you out over the drop off. Thank you for this film, your work is wonderful.
Iwas in Nazare' in mid November this year 2024 it was my last big a-haa moment before flying back home to Australia after travelling through Europe and non EU counties for 3 +months. Nazare' did not disappointed. Such a beautiful place and added bonus it has real sand like Australia ..no pebbles in sight!!!! But seriously the big draw card for my being a Queensland old surfie chick was seeing the forte where there is an amazing big wave surfing museum and actually standing on top of the forte where the red light house is perched that I have seen in photos with huge waves in the back ground and what appears to be a dot of a surfer riding the big monster .. now that takes guts or a death wish ..but Ill go for guts .. Nazare' has such a nice friendly vibe , beauty and is soo worth a visit. I'll definately go back for more ..I may even get a surf in on one of the smaller waves on north beach. ..
You captured so much amazing beauty. Powerful and gorgeous waves smashing. How did God think up all this stuff to amaze us with? The ending part is trippy how it all goes yellow and darkens while the cello(?) plays that eerie, moody music. Way cool! Thanks!
Yes , only when you visit Praya de Norte do you understand, as a surfer, that this place has a mistique about it. Way out of my league, but what I'd call a pilgrimage of some sort. Even my wife, who doesn't surf, said the same thing.

Beautiful little film, it feels very Godfrey Reggios' Koyaanisqatsi inspired.
All those dumpers reminded me of Boomer Beach from your home town, Tim,
No wonder you went looking further afield. Cheers.
real therapy
