I did well with this deck in the pre-meta. Grandma Tala helps give the late game win. However, Base Necessities destroys this deck as they can remove ink well. I agree with you is that once you establish control it's game over for your opponent.
I tried your sapphire steel deck but used the shift 3 kit cloudkicker. It can go head to head with hyper aggro👍🏼Can quest for at least 6 or sing AWNW on turn 3. I hope you try it and refine it. Thanks! Love your videos!
I honestly would like to see also games where opponents get theyr cards and knows how to play them 💔 Watching them losing by having nothing against the odds or because of horrible missplays is heartbreaking 😢
Saph/steel wheel ramp takes a massive leap with the inclusion of this set. But like you said you need to include much much more from into the inklands and get rid of the old “essentials” from last formats Saph steel

Tahla just seems like a secondary win condition rather than a focus. Might be better in a amethyst sapphire ro ensure draw fuel

Getting past those first few turns, it definitely is. It's also a great counter to Emerald Steel.
