I love these two decks, and have been working on them both. The Pirates is actually my main tournament deck (just small local events, I don't travel the country to compete against $1000 decks). I know that you are looking to keep this deck budget, so here are a few of the cards that I have in my deck that aren't unreasonable (Donald Duck - Buccaneer is the most expensive card I currently run, and it's $2 each): I use Snuggly Duckling, Thebes, and RLS Legacy for locations, instead of Agrabah and Nottingham. I also have slotted in Tuk Tuk - Lively Partner and the action Voyage as ways to move multiple characters to a location at once. For card draw I use Medallion Weights and Queen of Hearts - Sensing Weakness. Captain Hook - Captain of the Jolly Roger can recur Fire the Cannons. As my deck currently is, it sits at just over $20. The one card I want to complete my deck is definitely not budget friendly (though not crazy), and that is Jim Hawkins - Space Traveler (around $8 each).

Just played for the first time. Since I’m a One Piece stan my first mtg commander deck was a pirates deck so I just ordered this budget deck to be mine first Lorcana deck. This looks super fun and with shipping, only cost me $11 on TCGPlayer. I can’t complain!! Great deck list I hope to have a lot of fun.

Hey! It doesn't have to be Captain Hook necessarily. As long as there's a captain, Mr. Smee doesn't automatically lose a point of health. So, for example, John Silver has a "Captain" classification on it.
The previous person was commenting that the card was played incorrectly in the video. Also when stitch attacked hook he wouldn't have died because captain hooks rapier gives you challenger 1 which only applies on your turn. Also for some reason when Matheus played Agrabah he played it for only 1 ink when location cost 3 which then allowed him to illegally play a 5 cost hook that he would not have enough ink to play that turn.

Charlie and I were laughing about it the other day at our LGS, as our friend Ethan pointed out that to us (specially the Agrabah one, which had such a big impact in the end!). I haven't re-watched the video to see, but in some cases when we identify these missplays, we tend to add a "*" with a note in real time, so we can call out in the process, instead of re-recording all over again! Either way, thanks for watching and pointing these out!

Yes, absolutely! Exerting just leaves a character vulnerable to challenges, but actions or anything really that lets you target a character doesn’t care whether they’re exerted or not.

I was thinking of building a simillar puppy deck. Looked nice and casual. Also gonna do a deck with DuckTales, just because it's DuckTales. WooHoo!
