    I’m sorry I’m the most annoying commenter ever, but just one more: I’ve been able to finally play some games both online and in paper with this deck and I absolutely love it. I ended up just hard swapping the Dr. Facilier for two copies of shift Elsa because I didn’t feel like thinking any more about it and I’ve had some really fun games with it. The last one I played I ended up at 17 ink against Jafar Wheel combo after Mama Odie absolutely popped off WITH a shift Tala on the field for a huge lore burst. Using the extra ink to just spam the hell out of Hades and in my case Elsa just shuts down certain decks and must be similar to what a Ruby/Amethyst player feels in the late game. I think between this and the Emerald/Amber puppies deck I’ve been playing I’m set at locals for a long time now, AND I’m gonna be looking to tweak this deck into set 4 and beyond. Thank you one more time for the build!

      Not annoying at all! It’s always good to hear that the deck ideas are showing similar results for other players! Best of luck at your locals, and let us know how you do!

    I had been thinking about something similar to this, but hadn’t yet put it together. I had started with an amber-sapphire deck heavy on songs and items and was going to cut the items and add Gramma in to bonus off Odie. I got clobbered in league with the amber element but def saw the potential. Will give this a try!

    funny enough I just ordered a bunch of pieces to brew something similar. I'm trying to do it without the merlin mim package first, but i've got a feeling I may need to add them in after some testing. Still, amethyst has no shortage of early interaction so I think I can make it work

    I’m building this for locals! I think I might try to work my one copy of shift Elsa in as another repeatable bomb. Replaying her also seems very backbreaking.

      Absolutely! I worked with another player and they switched to using big Elsa’s too saying it really improved the deck! I kept her out to try and win with Tala, but honestly, if prizes/money are on the line… do the best thing to improve your win %!

      @@LorcanaUniversity well I’m absolutely not taking Tala out, I love her as well and want to use her. It’d be a matter of fitting in one Elsa as well since that’s all I have in paper.

    Hey there! I started recently and really immediately loved gramma Tala (because she reminded me of what I played when I played MTG) but I was thinking of swapping amethyst for steel, would you happen to have any advise by any chance?
    I love the synergy with Mama, I was thinking of using steel songs like zeus and grab your sword to control the board, as well as titans for added removal, and pawpsicle/flaversham/beast and Robin for drawing. I know I won't get the card advantage I would with Amethyst but I'm curious to try it out.
    Thank you in advance if you reply!

      Sapphire/Steel is a good combo as well. If you want to run Flaversham items, there are a few ramping items that synergize with Tala, like Heart of Tefiti and Fishbone Quill. I think you need to lean heavily on Grab Your Sword and Tinker Bell Giant Fairy for 2-for-1s and as a way to slow down your opponents long enough for you to reach the late game. Let me know how it works for you!

      @@LorcanaUniversity What do you think about using the blue tinkerbell to get extra lore when I'm getting rid of items? I was thinking playing pawpsicle and maybe the frying pan to add a bit of control to the board?

    • @LorcanaUniversity
      @LorcanaUniversity  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@moto3112 I like the idea of using the blue tinker bell in a tala - item list, it makes sense! It would be a good fit for the card which, outside of generating extra ink for Tala, normally comes too late to be valuable. I would probably start with a 2-of and test her out, since you're going to want to figure out the right number of items that can banish themselves to make sure she works consistently. I'd usually shoot for 12+ of any specific "thing" to reliable draw them, so 12+ self-banishing items is a tall order... but flaversham can count as 4 of those (since he can turn any item into a "self-banishing" item), and perhaps some number of Judy Hopps can help out too.

    There’s some slight discrepancies between the card counts in the video and the list in Dreamborn. Is Which one is up to date?

      @LorcanaUniversity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The dreamborn list is a little more up to date, as I think I made some minor tweaks after the deck tech was recorded 😅

      @@LorcanaUniversity No worries, lol. Just building now to see where I can swap in the single Elsa I have without pushing the uninkable count even higher. Also don’t have The Queen’s Castle in paper, so I’m trying out some sillier options there as well. Shift Madam Mim has been hilarious in a couple games, if not optimal.

    Your deck list doesn’t match the video fyi, are you doing 3 or 4 Rabbits? I found 4x it calls me works well. Also not 100% sold on big Tala…the ramp might be better served with some maleficent uninvited and a dime or 2 but not sure yet. Thanks for the list!

    • @LorcanaUniversity
      @LorcanaUniversity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, this deck was more of an attempt to build around tala specifically. But it can definitely be improved by foregoing that card in favor for things like big Elsa instead, as that card can dominate the late game very well especially when bounced and replayed.

    How do you think this fares against steel song?

    • @LorcanaUniversity
      @LorcanaUniversity  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That a bit of a harder matchup for the deck because of A Whole New World being able to discard your crafted hand of bounced characters, and their bombs being harder to defeat with challengers like madam Mim Fox. I’d need more games against Steelsong variants to be sure!
