To anyone reading, don't come into condemnation but instead conviction. This is a subject, I feel per-plexed about. All threw my life I have been told, “Know matter how menial a job or chore, has been given to you~always take pride in what you do and do it to the best of your ability.” Then~times I have been too prideful. ~ I find it difficult to separate. We think Jesus for your ministry. May God’s blessings continue and your lives.
Those are two different types of pride. Taking pride in your work is actually humble, it means you take care in doing your job well. Having pride in your life is thinking you're something when you're nothing. Having pride is a rejection of God in your life.
I Need you Everyday Lord!! Lead me, guide and protect my steps, send me your wisdom, direction, give me the discernment I need, and allow me to use the abilities and talents You gave to me!! For your Glory Lord!! Not mine!!
Oh, but how I enjoyed this message! It spoke directly to me; it reminded me of how many times I have attained a degree of success only to forget The One who provided/allowed it. If we could get ourselves out of the way, we could do so much for God's Kingdom.

Its also good to read the Present with Religion, a book available for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the whole truth of life is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the real truth, all of it and live in it and change ourdelves according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes true repentance which means changing our minds and also true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelong process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gate that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.There is nothing more important or serious to do in this fallen world as our eternal fate depends on it.
Not to take away from anyone's positive feelings but just FYI many things this pastor says are not biblical. First, God wants a relationship with you - not for you to be "great". Many preachers begin to deviate from scripture because they do not realize they are doing it or because they believe they posses a deeper understanding of scripture...or maybe they just know we all love prosperity Gospel. I think for most, they are not trying to deceive us. I'm always alerted when preachers say "God wants...". By the way, the Bible can tell you what God wants - you don't need a preacher for that.

Just because you live in total humility does not mean the Lord will bless you. The Lord will bless whom he chooses. You say you and others hate seeing people with a prideful look, they could have pride in the truth, but you and others will judge them based on what you think, but you are basing your judgements on the wrong things, nor do you have the right to place judgement on a person to begin with, sir.
He didn't say he didn't like prideful people . He is saying , ' GOD doesn't like prideful people " . GOD doesn't like it when he's blessed someone then they turn around and thumb their noses at everyone. Thinking that they're better than everyone else . That's what preacher Jimmy is trying to teach you .
