BNSF U-NTWEES meets BNSF U-RICBAR at Caliente!

On 11/22/2023 my friend Bary and I went out train watching in hopes of catching the eastbound BNSF U-RICBAR, a Geometry train with 9 locomotives (highly unusual for a Geometry train) including a warbonnet and NS. We looked for it in downtown Bakersfield only to find it had departed about 15 mins prior to our arrival. so we went east, hoping we would catch it at Magunden, one of our favorite spots. but we were too late even for that so off to Bealville we went. we then found out it had stopped in Caliente so after getting a couple of westbounds (one of which was another U train, the BNSF U-NTWEES oil train which itself had an NS and H1). After those passed we headed down the road to Caliente and ended up catching the U trains meeting! Great day all in all. Enjoy this short video!

Cool catches! I caught the U-NTWEES east of Belen, NM and it was only 3x0, must've combined two trains somewhere along the line. Wow that's cool to see a 9 unit Geo train, never heard of that happening ever before...

I hadn't either until that day! For the U-NTWEES I'm guessing the DPUs got added in Barstow most likely. Thanks for watching!
