      Nice video but a few things.
      1. No one in india calls any food dish as "curry". They have individual names. There are many more varieties than just food with gravy or spicy.
      2. Its "Sambar" and not "Sambal". This is predominantly South Indian lentil soup which goes with anything. Rice, Steamed donuts(Idly) or steamed pan cakes (Dosas).
      3. It's called "Lassi" and not "Rassi". And god knows why they served you Chocolate Lassi. We don't drink that in India. Try Mango Lassi next time.
      4. No clue about the actors face masks you showed. India is largest Film producing country in the world. We have normal National Hindi or Bollwood movies but also regional movies. There are 26 different states in India with it's own language so you could have that many varieties of regional movies.
      Come to India, especially South India someday. It is really different in various parts of the country. We have over 200 languages. We also have several traditional dance forms. North South East and West change dramatically.
      PM me if you want some guidance on India Travel.

      @@neosmith166 The actual word in various parts of India is called TARI or TAARI. English people could not get it right and devised the word CURRY. Facts.

    That was a nice short and sweet vid Asagi. The India Festival looked very interesting especially with all the different food vendors. I could tell you were not too impressed with the tandoori chicken or the Chocolate Rassi. I've never had Rassi myself but I have had Tandoori Chicken many times a Indian restaurants in New York City. Thanks again for sharing the India Festival. Cheers!

    Good video. I hope you get to try an Indian 'samosa' sometime, which is sort of like a chinese egg-roll, except that the outer pastry shell is filled with potatoe, carrot, and peas instead of bean sprouts and bits of meat. Very spicy and tasty, but you need to have yogurt afterward because it's so hot.

    Hi. Hello from India :) Vada is usually made from lentils. Sambar is also a lentin soup from south India. I personally like plain Lassi. Many people like rose water infused one. Delicate flavours go well with it.

    Japanese people pronounce Sambar as Sambal & Lassi as Rassi. The confusion b/w R & L. I think it is some kind of rule in their language to pronounce it that way.

  • @Luscious3174
    @Luscious3174 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, I'm not sure if that tandoori chicken was authentic because the stuff I get at the Indian restaurants here is DEFINITELY spicy. I would recommend you try some broiled cajun chicken - really flavorful with a good kick of spice.
    Did you skip the Madras beef curry or is that coming in the next video?
