  • Along the pristine shoreline of western Michigan sit 2 of the taller lighthouses in the state, Big Sable Point Lighthouse and Little Sable Point Lighthouse. The public is able to climb to the time at a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children, open from first week in May to last week in October from 10am - 5pm.
Big Sable Point Lighthouse was consructed in 1867 and stands at 112 feet tall. There is a 2 mile walk to get to the lighthouse from the nearest road, but it is a great walk either along the pristine beach or on one of the trails further inland.
The Little Sable Point Lighthouse was constructed in 1874, located in Mears Michigan about 39 miles south of Big Sable Point Lighthouse. Little Sable Point Lighthouse is 108 feet tall.

The video states that the Big Sable Lighthouse is a 2 mile walk from the road, but In one of the clips, I see a couple cars. Is it possible to drive up to it?
