Thanks so much for this. Was looking at this strap for a Wotancraft bag I have and this was a very convincing breakdown, since the DSPTCH page doesn't go into much detail about the features/functionality. Greatly appreciated!
I just got this strap today, I'm going to hook it up to my lunch bag that I wear as a sling on my bike commute to work. I really like the fidlock mechanism
@@PKShiu I've been using the strap, I really like it. I like being able to cinch it and release it quickly but also the fidlock keys me remove it quicker
Great Video, I appreciate the thoroughness. Was looking for a simpler yet high quality strap to replace the bulky one on my alpaka go sling pro and this looks like itll fit the job perfectly.
How did the replacement work for you? I'm looking a strap for a bag and went with the alpaka pro (non fidlock) and don't like it at all. too bulky like you said. this one looks to be the choice
@@jorgeh4591 Just seeing this now. I felt the release was too bulky on this one and returned it. I move my sling to my back when holding my small kids and the release mechanism on both this one and the alpaka pro maglockz one were both too big. The alpaka being the worse of the two, so i'm actually reconsidering going back to this one as i haven't found a better option.
Thinking of trying to use this as a replacement waist belt for a backpack. The quick release buckles would fit perfectly on the bag's belt attachment points. Do you think it could cinch down small enough? Could you wear your bag and sling around your waist?
Thanks for making this video! I been thinking about the dspatch strap for a while now and it’s incredible that you combined both the orbit gear bag with the strap. I really enjoy orbit gear stuff and it great to see them both working seamlessly. We’ll done video, thank you so much. This helps me with my purchase. One question though: did you ever consider the biothane strap? I was looking into purchasing that vs. the regular one.
@@PKShiu hi! I did end up getting and it nots bad, it’ doesn’t feel like leather but it’s smooth and grippy, it’s a little like rubber. It’s fairly lightweight and feels durable. I like it, I doesn’t scream premium but it looks great. Had issue though with the product at first, it didn’t look like the photos. It was shorter, and backwards. I contacted Customer service and they replied right away they had to make me one and sent that over ASAP. I did have to follow up a couple times just to get a reply but they do take matters urgently. Overall, great suggestion! And it worked out great. I do suggest checking the length of the strap before use cause my experience I could wrap it over my shoulder. Appreciate it he review.
Did they send you the wrong strap the first time then? Thanks for the info. I have a biothane strap coming soon and wasn’t sure how the material would feel.
@@brandong2142 yes they sent me wrong product to begin with. I’d check and compare what you get. I think it’s made to order each strap. I can’t be too sure.

Glad this helped. It is a really nice strap.
Thanks for the video. It's the only one on TH-cam on this strap at the moment.
Wow, thanks!

I haven't looked into the biothane strap because I am not sure I will like the feeling of the material. If you ever tried it let me know if it works!

@@kristophermanabo6446 Thanks for the info on the Biothane strap! I may need to get one sometime to try it out. Thanks again.

@PK Shiu, do you still use the straps on a regular basis? anything you dislike?
Yes. I have two of them and I use them on different bags.
