This was great but just one mistake in my mind the swipes would have been reformatted into a type of Predacon beast animal. I would love to see more of this. A great way to introduce nemesis prime. Now I can’t wait to see if you go with nemesis prime being 100% loyal to unicorn or perhaps trying to control unicorn. Thank you again for your time in doing this for the transformer fans.
Great video and I would definitely be interested in seeing more what if videos. Maybe you could one where Hot Rod listened to Kup's advice and stayed away from "Prime's fight!"

@@fusionfandomYou're welcome. I personally think that, even though Megatron did manage to get that blaster, he probably would have only gotten one shot off if he was lucky or missed altogether. Even if he had, Optimus would have still been able to take the final shot.
Yeah it's an interesting scenario for sure! there is so many different ways that scenario could play out. I think you're right though it's unlikely that Megatron would be able to get more than one shot off as Optimus did have him in his sights.
@@fusionfandomBut instead of blasting him instantly, Optimus decided to talk for a bit. Even if he couldn’t see the blaster, he definitely saw Megatron creeping forward trying to grab something. I doubt the outcome would’ve been different.
Really cool beginning for a What If Story. I feel like the name "Scourge" would fit this Nemesis Prime because He would be the sole commander of the Sweeps in this story. (and It would be a cool reference to Transformers RID 2001, Transformers Armada and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts). Would love to see more!

Nicely done. Do more 'What If' scenarios. There's no shortage of storylines. Unicron should attack Earth while Prime's on Cybertron, ridding himself of a substantial number of Autobots. Then recruit all the Decepticons, giving them all more powerful bodies and using them to slaughter all remaining Autobots while keeping his fear of the Matrix a secret.
That's a fun What If. Nemesis Prime getting his personal army of Sweeps from reformatted Sharkticons is a good idea. Plus with the death of Starscream it might just mean his ghost will have a Sweep body to takeover at some point.

This is surprisingly good plotting for a Transformers "What If?". I like the idea of introducing the Quintessons early and pivoting from Galvatron to Nemesis Prime in a nod to future storylines. I am not entirely sure I would have Unicron caring overmuch about the loss of Megatron as a herald. It may just be my interpretation, but I always felt like one miniscule mote of life was not that different from another as far as he was concerned. Of course, I can also see him deciding that Nemesis makes a better herald than any already-living being ever could. He could put a tiny bit of his essence into the bot, ensuring loyalty and devotion unto death - or so Unicron thinks. (The idea of a micro-copy of a being like Unicron being completely loyal to its progenitor when it has the ego and self-preservation instinct of that progenitor seems a bit of a stretch.)
There are even more possibilities to depart the rails and find interesting new story. If the plot point of the death of Optimus was kept, what if it was him who was rebuilt by the Junkions? Instead of just being silly brown Autobots, play up how their modularity gives them weird ideas about identity. A scene where Ultra-Magnus truly loses, being blown up, losing the Matrix, AND losing Optimus's body, would hit hard. But, imagine if the follow up paid tribute to the white Convoy toy inside Magnus and he wakes up looking like a simplified white Optimus, while Optimus has been reborn using Junkion combining technology and (temporarily) sports Mangus's outer frame. They would both no-doubt insist on being rebuilt, but then the Junkions go ahead and up-armor Optimus anyway, unveiling a variant of Powermaster Prime. Toyetic plotlines preserved!
This is talent in script writing. This would actually have made a better movie in my opinion.
Iron hide was my favorite transformer growing up. I always felt they did him dirty in the movie. He would of put up a hella a fight before going down. Thanks for letting him go down as a hero.

Better than what we got in ‘86 in many respects, but inattentive parents and critics would have complained that it’s too hard to tell who is the hero and who is the villain. Also, there would still have been an uproar over characters numbering more than one dying…unless the character in question was made specifically for the movie, because for some inexplicable reason back then, those characters could be killed off.
i can not wait to see part 2 to this as i love g1 transformers and i love hearing what if or different time lines to the g1 movies

I still haven’t forgiven the movie and the way it just killed off main characters like iron hide and ratchet like they were nothing, I never took to the new characters at all and quickly moved on to other cartoons and toys like mask and thundercats jayce and the wheeled warriors ect and never went back to transformers

Unfortunately for most I don’t think the shuttle’s autodestruct would actually destroy Megatron. The OTHER Decepticons in the shuttle? Probably. However Megatron survived a shuttle exploding around him before and THAT shuttle was full of enough exploding energon to push Cybertron out of Earth’s orbit!
Megatron is pretty hard to kill but I guess that’s why the what if is about if he killed Megatron. I’m unsure how powerful the explosion of the shuttle would be compared to the one in the ultimate doom episode the autobot shuttle would be bigger than the small shuttle Megatron was in so perhaps a more powerful blast? I dunno but a fun what if though
I like this... though I feel the whole Optimus Prime clone thing was a bit forced in just to give Unicron another Herold. I actually think it would have been better if either Unicron turned the real Optimus Prime into Nemesis Prime or if since in this universe Optimus doesn't die to pass on the Matrix so Unicron turns Hot Rod into Rodimus Unicronus. That way we still get a Hot Rod being reformatted into Rodimus.
Other potential What if ideas...
G1
What if Optimus didn't drop the Matrix? In the main time like Optimus Prime weak and dying tries to pass the Matrix to Ultra Magnus but drops it. Hot Rod catches the Matrix and it clearly reacts to him being the first to touch the Matrix following Optimus' death. In this reality Ultra Magnus would make a different choice, accepting the Matrix right away when it's offered to him so that Optimus never has the chance to drop it and Hot Rod never catches the Matrix. I imagine in this reality Ultra Magnus would change to his original intended Powered Convoy colors and be known as Omega Prime. During his fight on Junkion instead of being unable to open the Matrix as he was in the main time line he would succeed in getting it open defeating Galvatron and his troops but also wasting the energy needed to defeat Unicron in the process.
I don't hate Rodimus Prime by the way I just think it'd be interesting to see what could have happened had Ultra Magnus actually been made leader of the Autobots as Optimus intended.

What if the Stasis Pods in Beast Wars were all originally discovered by the opposite faction? This means Tigatron and Airazor would be the only ones reprogrammed as Predacons. Silverbolt wouldn't actually be any different because he was first found by the Predacons in the main universe and he still ended up a Maximal anyway.
Blackarachnia and Inferno would both have their original Maximal personalities. Quickstrike had his faction changed by Megatron but if the Maximals found him first he probably would end up switching sides anyway because he was just like that.
One interesting thing to note is that Blackarachnia is only a spider because Tarantulus made her that way so in this alternate reality she likely wouldn't even be Blackarachnia anymore and instead either Tigatron or Airazor would end up with her beast mode since Tarantulus would still be trying to force it on all the protoforms he found. Inferno was suppose to be a spider too but Tarantulus was interrupted before he could select Inferno's beast mode.
Oh and since both the Maximals and Predacons had a blank protoform that was used to bring a dead character back to life I think in this reality instead of Optimus Primal being brought back after his death by Rhinox at the beginning of season 2 he wouldn't have had access to that Protoform because the Predacons would have taken it bringing Optimus Primal back as a brain washed Predacon instead. The Maximals would however had gotten access to a blank Protoform in order to bring Dinobot back with his original memories still intact. And given Optimus wouldn't be a maximal to get him Optimal Optimus body I think Megatron would test the TM2 Driver on him creating Optimus Minor instead. This would also mean TM2 Megatron wouldn't happen and Optimal Megatron in Beast Machines wouldn't happen since Megatron was inspired by Optimus to make both of those things happen.
Transmutate likely wouldn't change because her pod was discovered by the Maximals and Predacons at nearly the same time. And Rampage was discovered by the Maximals first in the main time line but just already was a Predacon so having the Predacons find him first wouldn't change anything.

What if the Japanese Transformers got involved in Beast Machines? Imagine if you will that Lio Convoy was reformatted into BM Snarl, Bighorn became BM Longhorn, Colada became BM Night Viper, Mach Kick became BM Battle Unicorn, Sharpedge or Hellscream became BM Hammerstrike, Max-B became BM Quickstrike, Dirgegun could be Buzzsaw, Sling was BM Geckobot, Hydra became BM Skydive, Gigastorm could be BM Blastcharge, Thrustor would be BM Spy Streak, Autocrusher would be BM Scavenger, and I don't know who but one of the Maximals from BWII or Neo not already mentioned has to be BM Mirage.
RID2001
Since this is also applicable here... what if the Protoforms from RID2001 weren't reprogrammed as Decepticons?
There's 2 ways you can go about this one... either given they're all originally Autobot protoforms that they end up being activated as Autobots with their original programming intact or given Sky-Byte says if they had scanned beast modes they'd be Predacons instead of Decepticons what if they all had beast modes? We do at least have an idea that Movor was almost an eagle instead of a space shuttle so that one has to be a his Predacon form but you can do whatever you want with the rest of them.
Armada
What if Hot Shot actually went back for Wheeljack in Armada? I imagine in this reality Wheeljack would have been saved and stayed and Autobot while Hot Shot would be left behind and gotten saved by Megatron making Hot Shot the Decepticon in this universe.
Megatron survived an exploding spaceship before.
What if the Decepticons win the battle on Earth and the Autobots flee in Cosmos?

Honestly, there´s no way Ironhide could have defeat Megatron, he was completely cripple and could barely grap Megatron, but even if the Shuttle was destroy there´s a good chance Megatron had survive the self destruction, Megatron had already survive other ships explosion, so Unicron would have found his herald and turn him into Galvatron once again

He could have been a great leader of the autobots.
Realistically, this wouldnt work because Hasbro would've argued that an Optimus Prime repaint wouldnt sell as a new toy successor to G1 Megatron. For your idea to work, the design should look distinctively different from Optimus Prime apart from color scheme. Perhaps if this "Nemesis Prime" would have looked like Motormaster, then it might have had a chance.

I would have Shockwave flee and having nothing left be the herald of Unicron. Shock wave then attack's a morge steals the dead bodys of Soundwave, Megatron, and the seekers.

Nice plot twist!!! I like it!! This would have allowed Optimus Prime to be present at the final battle against Unicron (as one of the original scripts noted). Optimus would have then opened the Matrix and destroyed Unicron.

Thing is Megatron has survived worse than a shuttle explosion...it likely would not have killed him.
Megatron survived an explosion in ultimate doom but was in worse shape after a fist fight with Optimus in the movie.
That ain't the 1st time Megatron got blown up inside a ship ( he like Jason Voorhees he comes up meaner as before )

premise is cool but megatron, not sure bout the tohers, but can confirm megatron would definately survive given, remember he facetanked an explosion powerful enough to push a fucking planet into a new orbit, that is exponentially more power then the shuttle could produce
Optimus survived far worse in the episodes than what killed him in the movie. City of steel saw him hacked to bits! Megatron survived the blast in ultimate doom yet was completely messed up after a fist fight with prime. It’s all down to what the plot or rather the writers want to happen
