This is dead on advice for those who want to live that way. Thing is; you are who you are. You already know that you’re carrying some baggage that makes this an act instead of your reality. If your like me you’ve tried to apply these principles and yes they absolutely do work until eventually your baggage peaks out; even just the slightest. So; I guess my point here is: yes Corey is absolutely correct even if most couples aren’t living this way. It is important to work on your own stuff before you even try to be with anyone. Woman are different these days. If she is a good woman then she knows that she deserves a good man. Hang out, have fun, hook up lol. So true when your dating. As for me; I’ve got my own work to do before I can expect anyone to want to put up with me. I’m fine with it. While I do work on myself it’s nice to know that all of my time and resources can be dedicated to me. In truth; I must admit, for me, right now; that’s what I need. I did just lose a woman that I have very deep feelings for. Thanks to Corey and some other coaches I’m able to handle it. We’re still talking. I know I’m not ready. I’m glad we’re still talking. It’s enough for me. Compatibility is very hard to find, for me. Knowing this, I must realize that being unattached is best. Only time will tell now. Luckily; we’re all very different from each other so maybe some day I’ll work it out since it would be nice to get it right some day.

I was talking to this girl that liked me for 6 weeks and we went on 3 dates. I know one of her friends and her friend said she is talking to her ex at the same time as she’s talking to me. She also said she still has feelings for her ex. Her ex ghosted her like 5 months ago so I told the girl that We aren’t talking for right now cause she was being difficult ( I didn’t say why we aren’t talking of course) I said to let me know when she wants to hang out again. I followed everything coach says. Her ex would call her crying and begging. I never let it bother me. I thought there was no way she'd go back to him because of how he was acting but she did.
That's why when I find out there's an ex in the mix, I won't invest much in her. Maybe a quick smash and bail. If she's not completely done with him, there isn't anything you can do.

It's probably too late lol, but yes,, this has happened to me before. I did not behave correctly. I tried to settle her fear by rationalizing. Her and I were just FWB, but I still tried to be caring toward her. Within two weeks she was done with me. What I should have done is removed myself from her presence until she was ready to proceed.
