Such a funny notion to me that there needs to be one leader in a relationship. My husband and I share the leadership, house chores, and bringing in income. We know we have eachothers back and listen and learn from eachother. I'm not trying to paint a picture of perfection, we are not perfect but we have built a foundation of love and respect to where we can call eachother out on our BS talk and work things out. We often tell eachother that we feel lucky to be together so something is working. I guess my point is there's more than one way to have a relationship everyone's happy with. Maybe its more about asserting healthy boundaries and knowing ones worth and then encouraging your partner in doing the same rather than cutting yourself off from your emotions and needing seem like a solid rock all the time.

I was in a similar situation. I was going through some really emotionally difficult times and she started backing away. I took a few steps back, got things worked out and she was still emotionally distant; I knew she'd already emotionally checked out so I sealed the deal and said "Bye". Never looked back, never been happier. Last month I found out she was stalking my IG so I blocked her there.

Well Corey... after reading your book and watching your videos for 3 months, I finally did it. I pulled the trigger and went for that long overdue reconnection with my ex. Due to Covid we both ended up stuck in Mexico where 3 months ago, our relationship fell apart and fast. Up was down, left was right etc. It was a fast one that involved her love bombing me and I had fears from previous relationships surface. We met in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for 10 days and then she wanted to come to a surf town on the west coast with me. In total we spent about 3 months together. I was eventually needy triggered by her behaviour as she was just off the charts mad because I wasn't falling for her fast enough/meeting her needs. Communication break down. She created drama that made me feel hurt even though she was being that way because she really wanted me to commit. Neither of us were listening to each other when we went our separate ways - I had actually kicked her out of my place because I didn't want to put up wit it. I seriously questioned whether she actually liked me because of the way she communicated it. Although 24 hours later I realized she was someone very special to me. There is definitely a bit of crazy in her but she has had therapy. And I'm in the same boat haha So I saw her on the beach today and decided it was now or never. We had tried to reconnect previously over a month ago when she invited me to get a drink. That didn't happen because I waited too long to text her back due to anxiety & she ended up meeting a different guy and pursuing it. I was still not confidant enough and made things awkward when I saw her having breakfast one morning with that guy - which is how I found out about him. I sent her a long winded text that was firm about what I wanted that didn't get a reply so a week later I texted again and said I agree'd with her keeping her space and that it was too soon for me to reconnect with her - that I'd not been honest with her or myself needing my space and that now is not the time to be thinking of being together. So I took the power back. So today, I saw her after 2 weeks of silence (I would have gone the full 30 days no contact but we're both going home soon - she lives in Quebec, I live in British Columbia). Don't get me wrong, I was still not FEELING confidant, but I trusted that I knew what to do today. When I approached, she wanted nothing to do with me (even though she's been liking my facebook stuff the last 2 weeks during my no contact silence). She made it abundantly clear how uncomfortable she was seeing me. But what I noticed, is that she wasn't running away. Her body language communicated I had a chance. As you've mentioned to do, I began getting her to open up. She was distraught and so I just simply asked her to tell me how she feels. "Tell me exactly how you feel right now, I want to know" was the first thing I led with. BOOM the flood gates opened. It was magic. Everything she had been wanting to say to me just came out. 90% of the talking was from her. And I just kept saying "tell me everything, don't leave anything out". And all along the way I could acknowledge and validate her experience while also peppering in my perspective to create opportunities of reciprocity in understanding. Miscommunications that I've spent 3 months doing mental gymnastics to figure out were solved. We spent 4 hours together talking everything out, coming to resolution about the issues we had over beers and good music. This is the first time in my life that I've been able to problem solve with a woman I love from a place of integrity & love. I've never come this far because neediness has always taken over. Whenever an ex has been mad at me it's always resulted in my neediness pushing them away. Today I brought her closer using the skills you teach and it made things clear to the both of us that if we did get back together, we can handle what life throws at us after having this transformative conversation. I mean she literally wanted nothing to do with me when I approached and by the end she felt like she had cheated on her new guy. Sooooo I suppose our talk got through her anger and allowed her to feel something for me again. That is a huge win. Yes, she is still with the other guy but she's heading back to Quebec in 10 days and this other guy is from Mexico and I think he's a bit of a "nice guy" who will out himself sooner than later. His mask will slip if that's who he is. And today I showed her the real deal vs. fluffy infatuation. I pierced her shit test defenses with everything you taught. She even tested me a bunch of times saying I should just go meet other women to which I just reaffirmed in a fun charming way "why would I do that when you're so charming, a great cook, have a brilliant laugh, are adventurous, help me grow as a person, make me smile and are just so sexy that I could NEVER want to take my hands off of you". She absolutely loved it. Watch for that test my friends because that's one of the funnest ways to show her she can't throw you off. Anyways, that's my story. Things have been left opened and because I'm sitting in a place of abundance I'm okay with it. I'm always 13 pounds lighter and in great shape so it doesn't go unnoticed.. We both live on opposite ends of Canada so I mean, what else to do other than give each other space and accept it while keeping in touch. It's in a good position after 3 months of hard hard work. But the biggest win for me is finally having true intimacy where a woman I love feels heard and conflict is resolved from a place of integrity. And she knows I'm different now... one might say I am on my way to being a 3% man after accomplishing what I did today. In the past it's always put me in a place of self hate and being blocked for life. Not this time. Amen! Thank you Corey!! You are a rock star dude!!!

That's crazy this video just came out. I just explained this whole thing to my ex wife last night. I was in the Marines for 10 years but then I got retired from an injury and so she said this is finally her chance to work. A month later she said she was taking the kids on trip for spring break. When she got there she called and said we're not coming back.

A majority of people are unaware of masculine and feminine energy (or neutral) and that amazes me. I am a woman who is in a relationship with a feminine woman. I am naturally masculine and I have to keep it that way. I once got into a discussion about this and received so much backlash...probably from ultra feminists and asexual confused types. This stuff that coach teaches us really works and some people refuse to believe it but guess they will have to suffer the consequences. You can’t fight basic human nature.

So I’m not quite understanding, what should have he done instead? If he’s working from home and she’s working as a medic, isn’t it practical for him to do the cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the cats since he has more time and is right there? I mean it would seem silly to delegate those tasks to his fiancé solely because she’s the woman especially when she’s much more burdened with work.
I see what you’re saying, but I’m failing to see what practically the guy should have done instead in the beginning when it started going down hill.

Hey Corey, what would you respond to a feminism activist claiming that home duties aren't women exclusive?
If a feminist listened to you, she would lose her mind 😂

Why can men sleep around until they find the one they "love" but women can't? We don't want to settle for the one who plays games so we search!

    • @angelalvarez7257

Because thats not how women find a good man. Men are more physical oriented and women are more emotionally oriented. Screw as many guys as you want but thats not what makes your heart fall in love.
