    That’s a great tip. I have an H6 sitting around and had not thought of using it directly with iPad and loopy because of being new to both. That opens up even bigger scope possibilities. Thank you and just now realised there are some onboard effects in the H6. This is looking good, had tried out an old launchpad mini yesterday, which also plug into loopy through the hub into usb-c port. And am finding the iPad hosts many externals and powers them using a power brick. One company is making power bricks to order. I saw one multi effects box with 2 large power bricks in tandem.

    Very nice video sir, thanks. I'm interested in taking up some looping, so this was quite helpful. However, I'd like to do both guitar and vocals, and wondered if the H6 was suitable for this? I don't want to spend a lot on equipment, but one thing you didn't cover, is if the H6 was a good stepping stone device. In other words, when I want to move onto more advanced things, will the H6 become redundant? I notice that you use other equipment, such as pedals/footswitches in your other videos and I wondered if they replaced the H6 or just supplemented it? Despite its excellent price, I wouldn't want to purchase something that I outgrew in a year's time. I wonder if you have an opinion on these points (vocals and lifespan)? Thanks!

    Great results on a budget. The Zoom H-series is under-rated. The H4 even has a HiZ input for use with electric guitars.

    Wow! Great video Max, I’ll be getting started soon in your loopy course that I purchased before Christmas. Now all the company is gone and then I got sick hoping in another day or two to begin, of course. Is this video going to be added to the course, it would be great for reference. Hey Skeeter.
      All the best with this.
      Honestly I need to not binge and go all in on this like I first did.
      It is new to me and I was getting frustrated with myself until I sat back and gave myself more consistent learning at a slower pace
      It’s gonna take me some time.
      My big win so far has been to record one loop. It was awful, but the good thing the loops do get better.
      Loopy Pro is a tool I have to patiently learn and it has immediately revealed how much my timing and technique can be improved on.
      I’m going to keep working on learning while travelling for a few more weeks. Then get a couple lessons with Max to help me.
      Growing up without computers has probably slowed my learning curve.

    I'm currently trying to get the hang of using Loopy Pro. I have a Zoom H5, which I believe is not compatible with Loopy Pro as Max said. I've noticed that it has inconsistent behavior and I've tried enabling and disabling direct monitoring, but it still has issues. At times, there is too much latency, while other times there is none. Additionally, sometimes the sound is distorted. I am very disappointed that I cannot use the Zoom H5. I want to use Loopy Pro on stage with a pickup on my guitar. I'm wondering if there is a solution for the Zoom H5 to fix this issue. I don't want to buy new gear, I want to stay minimalist on stage.
    By the way, I have a Steinberg UR22 audio interface, but I found out that it is not compatible with my iPad too. I did try connecting it with a USB to lightning adapter, but it didn't work. Although I haven't tried using a camera adapter with a charging socket, I don't think it will work either."

    Hello, thank you for the video. I am very new to loopy pro and coming here from a classical music . Is there any way you can have different time signatures in the same session? Lets say you have regular 4/4 but then you need 2 bars in 3/4 and tham going back to 4/4? Is there anyway to do that kind of thing? Thanks

    • @max_yar_guitar
      @max_yar_guitar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! Thanks! Yes, you need to create 2 custom widgets for that. One is to set 4/4, and another for 3/4. Look for the action called "Adjust Beats Per Bar." If you'd like to do that automatically, set the timing (empty circle on the left from the action)

      Thanks for your kind words! The Zoom H6 is a good device, but it’s not the most convenient as an audio interface since you’ll need to select the mode in the menu each time you start it, and you’ll have to frequently change the batteries.
