As always, the products you use are so real looking. The details getting started are always so important. This whole project has been looking absolutely fantastic. Great job Josh and thank you for your detailed information as always. 🔨🔨👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks David! Manufactured stone veneer is definitely the way to go compared to Reel stone. It goes on much easier and looks similar. I hope everything is going well for you. Take care!
Excellent series dude! Keep up the good work. I appreciate how detailed your videos are. Best DIY channel I have watched!
That means a lot to me! I try to put as much useful information in all of my videos. I’m glad you noticed. Good luck with your DIY project!

I'm pumped to watch this video about stone veneer. I have always wondered how to install stone veneer. Well not really. But perhaps after watching the video I might start to wonder.
Thanks for stopping by! The stone veneer was super easy to install because it did not require mortar. It’s definitely the DIY friendly way to go!
Very impressed you explain the product and how to install very easy to understand.
Love this tutorial and the finished product is absolutely stellar!!
Thank you! I am very happy with the product as well. Thank you for watching my videos!
👍awsome and helpful
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching!
Looks great!
I appreciate that!
That looks really fantastic!
A couple questions: Would it be too heavy or expensive to install that rock look on my house? I have aluminum siding right now and old wood boards from the 1920s under it. There aren't any signs of rot anywhere. Also, should that stuff be coated to help protect it against UV and about how much money would it cost in material to do a relatively small 2 bedroom house? I can do the work mostly myself.
Thanks a lot! I would definitely make sure your structure is sound. I would replace anywhere there is rotted plywood, and make sure your studs are solid. After that, it would be similar to what you’ve seen in this video. I hope that helps!
Great job. Really enjoyed the series. Now u have to do a video cookin a few steaks and some burgers lol
I was wondering about rain getting behind the stone but your explanation was so helpful. I really like CertainTeed products. I will be siding my house this summer with the SHINGLED SEA SIDE look siding. Very nice out door kitchen! Is this YOUR place?
The rain screen is a must! CertainTeed made it easy. Sounds like you got a busy summer ahead of you. Yes this is my place. Good luck with your project!
Thanks for sharing your experience with building your outdoor kitchen that stone looks really good the only thing I think they could have done better is not put the laps together maybe if the panels had alittle offset but other than that it’s very realistic
Thank you I appreciate that! The stone is panels, it’s very difficult to change how the laps look without slowing down the installation process I believe. Thanks a lot for your input!
Started watching your outdoor kitchen video and got hooked lol awesome job! How big is your patio?
Thank you I appreciate that! The whole outdoors space is covered is 26‘ x 26‘. I hope that helps!
Finished my upper and lower cabinet installation and I am so happy as it came out perfect. I found that out of many TH-cam videos I watched your 'How To Install Kitchen Cabinets' as this was by far the most detailed and helpful tutorial to watch. So thanks!
Normally it's better to install the uppers cabinets first as I did but since you had custom large pantry's I can see why you did your uppers last so you can get your uppers to match exactly in height. My large pantry was isolated by the fridge with only a single upper. So I did install this one last.
Next I am going to be doing the toe kick and molding. So will be watching your molding video soon. Can you glue the molding or use brackets behind the molding rather than nail them?
Thanks a lot. I’m glad you like the cabinet installation video! I always recommend nailing the crown molding on. I never have used brackets to install it. Good luck with your cabinet project!
Great job on the outdoor kitchen build, love the detail your videos have. I'm planning an outdoor kitchen build myself and wanted to get some other perspectives. I do have a couple of questions. When framing out your outdoor kitchen, did you consider just making cabinet boxes with a toe kick like you would do for a kitchen? I'm designing mine with cabinet boxes and I'm planning on doing a concrete countertop too and since I've seen this done on indoor kitchens I figured it would be strong enough for the weight.
Also, when you were installing the stone, do you think it would easier to use a laser instead of always having to use a torpedo level?
Anyhow, again great job and it looks fantastic!
did you have any problems cutting the stone with the wet saw when you had to cut the metal or did you use something else when a cut fell where the metal was. Great video thank you for all the information...
Just a comment, after flashing, run another piece of tape at the top. The stone like you said has a rain screen in. This way water cannot get behind the flashing.
I figured you would had chose to use a 1/4 round trim as you could still see the backboard. Maybe that is something you will do at some point. Even without it it still looks clean.
Thank you! It all turned out better than I could imagine. Good luck with your project!
It is extremely beautiful and I wonder how much it costs. Could you please tell us, thank you.
👌👍
Great Job!!!! What was the total cost at the end? I'm building mine in the next couple of months
how much does it cost ? per Sq ft ?
Generally how much does the stone cost? When you click on the link they make you jump through so many hoops just to find a location and then when you call that location they want you to come in
nice job as always. I don't think I like these because I can see every rectangular section because the lines stand out
I appreciate that!
Please, begin you, make more videos, all right?
I will keep making new videos, hopefully the rest of my life! Stay tuned for more!
While you did an excellent job as always, I don't like how you can see the straight lines of the blocks, this gives it away that these are tiles, and looses the natural look, it can be clearly seen at 38:20 this shows this very badly, it's a shame as you put a lot of work into it.
Thank you! Every product has its pros and cons. Good luck with your project!
