Love this! I visited my daughter who was living in Hoboken. We went into NYC a few times; loved Brantley Park, Times Square, Central Park, Guggenheim. We had fun! I'm new at this; my lettering is terrible!
Lettering is so hard for me too. This one just happened to come together nicely.
I didn't get to the Guggenheim but I hope to visit NYC again and put it on my list.

Wonderful sketch, great work! I love the places in NYC that have a store on ground level and then a brick upper level, maybe an apartment, so much character!
I used Canson primarily (still have some, plus Strathmore, Grumbacher, and Bee) but wanted to purchase Arches when I honed my skills a little more, and when I took the plunge, at first I actually didn't like it and wondered why people rave so much about it ... but sometimes you can rush to judgment too quickly when trying something new and you have to stay with it a bit and give it a chance ... I did, and now I love using Arches ... it's definitely different from Canson.
I've also got a pad of Canson L'Aquarelle Heritage which is 100% cotton and has a rough texture, and I'm so anxious to try it out, just haven't yet.

I'll be very curious to know what you think about Arches. It's such fun to experiment with different pens, papers, and watercolors ... and yes, brushes! Would you believe I don't have a mop brush, never used one, but ok, I think I'll try one now that you've mentioned it, LOL.
No, I'm not currently sharing my sketches on social media. I spent years as a miniaturist, making all kinds of tiny things, and was on all social media, had a website and shop, and for me, the business side was time-consuming and took away from the creative side, so as much as I loved making the minis, I decided to not sell any more and shut it all down and kept the remaining inventory for my personal collection. Not long after, I saw some urban sketching videos and was hooked. I learned from a couple of content creators and am still honing my skills, but so far, I've not returned to social media for my own artwork.
One of the things I love about your work is that our styles are somewhat similar so watching you do a full sketch inspires me even more. I notice that your work has gotten better with each new sketch, so keep going! :) If you lived in Texas or I was in Florida, I would love to have lunch and talk art!
