I'm flying from New York to Kilimanjaro in 13 days...this video really got me pumped..thanks for sharing.
5 years ago I was 500 pounds and couldn't walk around the block! Now I've lost 230 pounds and walking 10 to 12 miles a day..this is my culmination trip and I can't describe how nervous I am for it. Watching and experiencing this with you has been great

Experience of a lifetime! I had very bad pulmonary and cerebral edema so after stella point I had to descend, but I at least made it there and got my certificate and learned a lot about myself in the process
Did you try again? If you would like I’m planning on doing the trek before my 30th birthday and I turn 30 in 2025 so I’m gonna try it next year, if you’re keen; we can do it together? 🙏🏾

Gosh I did Kilimanjaro in September 2018. I can concur with you how tough it was especially the cold and lack of oxygen. The feeling when you reach Uhuru! Awesome and worth all the suffering. Congratulations! I smiled when you had the Coke when the hike ended. We did the same thing.

SIRiMAC I realized that videos such as this, sometimes will get the subscribers it deserves and sometimes it won’t. TH-cam is a strange place where people that may have well over 5 million subscribers and all they do is review the latest makeup product or simply film story time. What needs to happen are brands supporting videos like this. Thats where the money and support stems from. I agree with you❤️

My summit night we hit 4 hours into the climb a 50 mph snow and ice storm.. WICKED and crazy... most intense experience ever.. congrats!

Me and my wife are attempting our summit in February! We have climbed big mountains in the States including Mt. Whitney, but Kilimanjaro another mile taller is incredibly intimidating. Great video!

Heading there this year in August
I was just there in July and every battery (including the extra I kept close to my body) was completely drained so I never got a good picture or video like I wanted. This captures exactly what it was like! Thanks for sharing and congrats. Wasn't that the best coke you've ever tasted?!
Yes, keeping batteries charged was a pain! I had several power packs and 12 GoPro batteries! hahah

But what was the deal with the multiple flights to get there? Oregon to frisco to germany to ethiopia to tanzania? Surely theres a quicker way?
Hahahah not really! I also book VERY last minute as well. To get to Tanzania, you pretty much have to go through Ethiopia or JBurg. And to get there from Portland you usually going through Europe.
That last leg to Stella point was hard. I was crawling to get just there... The altitude hit me so hard I was stopping every 2 minutes to catch my breath.
When I saw the path to Uruhu peak, I knew it wasn't over and I just kept walking. Only one chance to do it, doing it right.
Hell yah, Jazz! It's a wild experience up there! That last section definitely pushes you to the edge and bbeyond! Stoked you summited! COngrats!
