I was one of the app developer of the platform. They came a long way from OS version 10.0 to 10.3.4 but still failed because no app developers were ready to invest on a platform with such low market shares. With os version 10.2/10.3 they started supporting android runtime(meaning u can install apk files in the bb 10 devices with latest OS)
