I have read, and been told, that you need to stay in the Philippines to keep your Filipina from changing. If you bring her back to the U.S. then she'll make friends with modern American women and pick up their bad habits (the worst of which is using the American family court to steal half or more of your assets, your income and your pension, and deny you access to your children). I hope it works out for you, back in the U.S.

I highly recommend reading the Family Code of the Philippines which if things go wrong is how the asset distribution will be managed. Unlike in many western countries, ‘common law’ marriage is recognised over there, so even if you aren’t actually married, your long term live in girlfriend may have almost identical rights to a legal spouse.

Do not generalized girls from the city. A lot still carries that traditional, filipino values. Some do not like going into bars and jumping into relationship for short terms. They look at the character of the person and if he is hardworking. It does'nt matter if he has no money at first.
Depends on how citified they are or have become.

I go the PH to de-clutter my life, not to re-clutter my life. I do not want marriage, children, to build a house in the province or business ventures with a Filipina's family. I don't mind spending some money on her, but my goal is to travel and enjoy my life. 💯

Building a business for someone who doesn't not know how to run a business would not be smart use of funds... Instead I would have no problem providing some regular help to the Filipino family. e.g. $100 a month would not break me but would make a difference in the family's life. An provide more arounfd the holidays. Oyjerwise you have to let the wife work so she can provide for the family back home!

I don't think thats accurate at all. Maybe the golddiggers will ask you to buy house or buy whatever to them. But most of the time in the province (I've seen one and more) the foreigner themselves are the one offering for the Filipina to fix or buy a house (Filipinas lives with Thier parents even at adult life) so the foreigner themselves fix it for her and for her family (if the girl is poor ofc). Be very aware of a Filipina who ask you for money because she's just with u for a money

There are very few foreigners in the Philippines, who have very little to offer. The vast majority offer a major improvement in lifestyle for the Filipina , and very often her family.

The only reason they are doing so well and have that girl in the Philippines is because the people around them are so poor. They go there to benefit from the Philippines but complain when the Philippines wants to benefit from them. They may as well stayed in their own country.
