  • Hi Everyone! This week we have a treat: A old-fashioned "Will it Run?" startup of our 1956 Plymouth Savoy with the 270 V8! A fun old car that has been sitting around, and It was such a nice day... Also: More work on the Rover P5, the 1960 Fury headliner is almost there, and the Ferrari 308 gets a short shakedown... Jim and Alex stopped in to help open some of your mail, too!

Damn straight! CWM is the apex of Will It Run video fare. Accept no substitute! Nothing is cooler than coercing an old, roached-out vehicle to run and drive after 50 or 60 years of dormancy.

I thought yesterday that is Saturday and I see the Show. When it was Friday, I had to drink beer. Well, it was just nice. Today is the Showtime and I still have beer left. I am happy. Thanks Canada. I am Finnish, but my daughter lives there. In two months she will come to Finland and we will eat pancakes and ice cream. Maybe we’re driving in my 1970 Plymouth Fury , even though he finds me crazy when I like old cars. Good weekend everyone. Thanks!!

that would be a real dream. I have never been to the American continent. Next autumn, my daughter will move to the state of Ohio. My son-in-law is playing hockey. When it becomes easier to travel again, I will fly there. I also want to visit Canada and see you people, and the law is different there than in Finland. When relaxing with friends . I'm on pension I have time. I try to save money for the trip. I'm a pretty poor.

Scott, Thanks for headliner update on the Fabulous Fury. I think the Savoy warrants a closer inspection on a future episode. That car has potential....seems to be in the same level of respected repair as the Fraser when you first got it. Personally I have to give it to Chrysler engineering for the low cost fin add on to update the car for 1957. Rover is getting closer , cant' wait to see the primer and sealer go on. I am guessing the tires for the Honda ATV cost 10 times what it is worth, but oh well....it would not have been right to not get it back on it's feet again. Lastly, looking for an update on 60 Impala.

The emblem on that Plymouth, showing the sailing boat.....Was the first settlement in north America and called Plymouth Rock in the year 1620 showing the first boat the Mayflower and two Indians holding food for the settlers well here this might help explain it better...Plymouth Rock, granite slab upon which, according to tradition, the
Pilgrim Fathers stepped first after disembarking from the Mayflower on
December 26 1620, , at what became the colony of New Plymouth, the first permanent European settlement in New world America....Thanks for all of the updates and how about that old Plymouth runner.....!

I always enjoy finding an answer to "Will it run?" no matter the car or truck. Whenever I see an old vehicle beside a barn or similar scene, I always wonder, does it have a motor, is it complete, is there a battery, any fuel in it? Would the owner mind if I tried to start it? Always a joy to see old engines come to life in a flurry of dust, cobwebs and mouse turds flying in the fan wash! Great segment! And another trip back in time in the Mail Bag...another coldwarmotors evening well spent in our typical March blizzard moving through Southern Colorado. Anticipation of spring! 😉👍

I certainly enjoyed the Plymouth revival. Perhaps we can have a follow up full service and economy repair of the water pump and brakes (hone-a-thon)? Maybe even a "Tidy", tune-up and tires? Is there a chance she could make it to the road when it dries up? I see a potential side-kick for the trusty Frazer. Looking good at the supermarket. A Poly-Head V8 and a Powerflite... how modern. It's a keeper.

Scott, your R5 should wear an elf sticker with pride. Elf was and still is a petroleum company in some parts of europe (although the french company merged with Total and rebranded itself). They sponsered Renault throughout the 70's and 80's in motorsport and I remember my dad recieving a Renault elf rally jacket from the dealer when he collected his R11 Turbo! The dealer stickers always had the elf emblem in the back window. So definitely original equipment. Great seeing a will it start again, and some fun being had with a ferrari. Feel my Saturday is complete now! Many thanks and best wishes from the UK

I was surprised how solid and relatively complete the '56 Plymouth is. Back when my older brother got his licence in 1965 my dad bought him a 1955 Plaza with the flathead six and three speed manual for $50.00. It was rotted out over the headlights and floor of the trunk had holes in it because of all the salt they used on the roads in the midwest. The Savoy looks like it would make a good winter beater project for next year.

I really enjoyed this episode! The family's car between 1960 & 1967 was a 2 door 56 Savoy. Even back then, when it was 6-7 years old, the peaks above the headlights had started to rust away, and the front fenders on this 4 door looked great, for 65 year old fenders. It looks like it could be brought back to life and even registered for maybe the same $ and effort as the Frazer needed. Maybe this could be next year's winter beater.

Will it run? Of course, it's a Plymouth. Very cool to see them awakened and given some excercise. Can't wait to see the Fury interior

So excited for another video! I was so surprised and thrilled with how the 1956 Savoy came to life. Glad to see another classic, you saved, saying "thank you!" in its own way. God Bless you guys and making us feel like we are with you and your crew smiling agents! Lewisburg, TN, USA

Glad to see "MO" runs nicely. I know I need tons of caffeine daily or my mistakes get out of control. The '60 headliner is no small feat !! So much detail !! It's turning out great Scott !! The lack of Canadian snow birds are greatly missed down here in the AZ desert !!!

Caught a glimpse of Citroen headlight reflector package; headed for Frankford Plating. They are about five miles from my house and did the aluminum wheel polishing on my 1979 CBX 1000 restoration. Good choice.

The stock value on the 56 Plymouth just went up. That's a smooth running engine. It should get some more attention when the summer comes around. I'm glad the SM is getting a little love. We all want it to be finished someday too. Thanks Scott for another entertaining video. 👍😎🕵🏾‍♂️🍺🚙🏍🎵👽🥂

My parents' first new car was a '55 Savoy, V8, 2-door sedan. Your video brought back many memories, as the '56 was very similar to the '55. 1956 was the first year for the 'refrigerator' door handles. And you're correct, your radio is an aftermarket model, as is the choke. BTW, the '55s had voltage and oil pressure gauges, replaced by 'idiot lights' in 1956. Those DIY vinyl seat covers were great - my Dad went thru at least 3 sets.

Scott, I love the fact that you have all that old cool iron around. Those old cars start better than most modern junk that has been sitting. Need to get me an old 50,s something to drive.
