I also have a RPG built motor, Gen 5 Whipple on a 2.875” 6 rib (18 psi). Nice to know I’m right around 950whp. Car has ran a best of 4.7 60-130mph which is on par with a Tesla Plaid and McLaren 765LT.
Wow 18 psi is a lot of boost for only 950 rwhp. I’m thinking about selling my twin turbo kit for a whipple but turbos are much more efficient making more power & torque with less boost. My problem is turbos are boring on the street vs a PD blower so that’s why I might switch
@@nola504boy1 If racing is your priority, then you can’t beat turbos. Having a proper boost by gear setup is crucial. Getting a Whipple to hook up on the street at now 19 psi is not easy since you get all the boost at once. Until I get traction figured out, I’m stuck launching in 5th gear on my 60 rolls, easily costing me a couple tenths vs launching in 3rd or 4th.
@@Mach_22 Totally understandable, I’m currently making 1026 rwhp on 16 psi. Car feels amazing at WOT but that’s it. I’m going to make the switch to whipple soon. I want to be able to have fun driving around town also not just racing.

@@nola504boy1 100% go Whipple. I barely race mine and getting up to only 4.5 - 5k RPMs you’re out accelerating most cars anyway.
