Nick, the tours are great as always but it might be interesting to do a ‘sit-down’ review of the 3 or 4 key brands in the 40-45’ range just to get your views on the pros and cons against the price for those considering a purchase. I am sure others like myself are also interested in possible depreciation costs over say 3 years and the merits of buying one that’s a couple of years old rather than new. Just some thoughts but overall I still think your channel and reviews are excellent! 👍
Dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few months =)
A boat so nice - I had to watch the video TWICE. A properly fast water ski boat sat right down on top of an all weather yacht - causing a burst of quality as the two boats merged into the Atlantis 45. Impressive, Nick. And way to go Azimut, you clever folks. Thanks for sharing...
Perhaps it was the camera angles, but once in the engine room, access to the engines for maintenance looks very tight, and compromised by the tender garage? The small hatch access to the engine compartment also looks tight. Thanks for the review.
This looks like a wonderful candidate for Smugglers Blues III. It has a very useful layout, but appears relatively good for an owner to handle. Thanks Nick
The Italian dedication to speed and style is very evident here. My style? No, but you have to love the singlemindedness present here. Very, very pretty boat. Another top tier Aquaholic tour, as always.
What a lovely little boat, love the overall design and the internal space. Great video as always Nick, thanks. Just need to look behind the sofa for the spare £0.8million
A good tour Nick but you didn’t mention that the table over from the galley was a high low one I would guess for extra sleeping. A lovely looking boat I must say I definitely prefer the galley below deck it it always looks better to me. As usual a great watch and a lovely job by the best boat guy on TH-cam 👍🏻
Brilliant tour and up to your normal high standard. I liked the boat, but didn’t love it. Intrigued to see the tour of its neighbour with the hard top. 🤞 Are you giving shout outs to mirrors now? Hi Bella 👋😁
There is always something special with an Italian yacht, I think they make some of the most beautiful super yachts in the world. This is a beautiful boat, thank you for the tour. Take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍⛴🛳🏴☠️🛥🚤☠🚢⛵⚓⛄😎
Hmmm... I would suggest the Princess V 48 is the preferable selection.... ahh ! Good Job as usual Nick...been watching a few of your earlier vids for Motor Boat Monthly....my, my you have refined your appealing reviews and would say you are currently numero uno, all the best and keep them coming, lifting our spirits with pure enthusiasm and the joy of boating, ...very nice.
I certainly hope the alarms that sounded when opening up the garage and skylight can be disabled? Decent amount of room for two people on weekends and holidays. It be interesting to know the range if cruising at 6Kn
With 1000l fuel capacity and around 6kn - 1,5 l/nm low speed range is +650 nm. Slower you go, further you go. With idle speed boat goes around 3,5-4 kn (range close to 1000nm). Not much effort from engines to go 6kn. Worst speeds i would estimate to be 10-18 kn (6-8 l/nm). Nice boat and very well packed. Nice review 👍. Charlie is correct there is more efficient boats for slow speeds - but you can also go slow and save fuel with planing boats.
@@charlieodom9107 i agree. For sure it is wrong type of boat if you need to go always slow to save fuel. And idle speed is also something i do not recomment for several hours - it was more theoretical comment. Those engines need to get some load and speed regurally. For speeds 7-8 kn i would not see much harm to go even several hours with modern diesel and good fuel where everthing is monitored and controlled.
I don’t know what it is...maybe high gloss cupboards with sculpted inserts in them... but Azimut and the Italian designers just get it right!!! Their boats always look modern, in a classic way. Great video of a great boat!! 👍👍🇦🇺❤️
Great boat with clean lines and we even get to see the tender garage too! I love that you are always positive, especially when you say "big wardrobe" and then show us a hanging wardrobe three inches deep 🤣🤣
Nice boat with cool features. As always a very informative Vlog. Now my only problem is winning the lottery so I can get into one of these and live aboard full time. I think sixty to seventy feet would be a better full time boats. If you had a 80 meter yacht this could be the tender.
Hi Nick. This a boat that looks fast even standing still. Very sporty design, contemporary interior 👌 plenty of space above and below deck. Great walkthrough tour, thanks 😊
How cool would it be sleeping by that long window, in the 3rd bed of the 2nd cabin, looking out across the open ocean, while tucked up in bed? With that view and the gentle, repetitive rocking of the boat on the water, I reckon I'd sleep well in that bed! 🛥️🛌🏻😴 Great tour, as ever, Nick! Thanks for sharing. 👍😎👌
I would be very interested in the “low end boats” of the marina. The old, wooden workhorses, small boat, tiny cabin, probably ex- or existing fisher boats. You know, what I mean.
It allows you to put other things like fenders in there, the deeper it is, the lower the weight of all that heavy chain, and there's little else that could be done with the space.
That was incredible! I'm referring to the way you got around and onto the back of the boat, always makes me chuckle when you speed the walk up 🤪 Gorgeous boat and great tour, I would prefer the V48 though just for the cockpit doors when the UK evening gets chilly.👍❤️
Great tour Nick. Wonderful sleek lines, stylish and beautifully equipped. The boat’s not too bad either. Thank you for a great year watching Aquaholics and Motaholics. You’ve no idea how much they have helped me in what has been a tough one. Have a happy Christmas and great new year. Here’s hoping the channels go from strength to strength. All the best Kieron.
And they just leave them sit outside. I know boats are designed to withstand the elements but they're brand new. I would want to keep it indoors till I sold it.
Thanks Nick for another great video. Not sure of the finish on the doors of the grey cupboards, looks like the cladding on my shed!😆 Doesn’t seem the build quality of a Princess or Fairline equivalent.
I know it's unfair, but I hold other yacht videos to the Aquaholic standard. When I see a guy trying to sell a yacht for a million dollars (or equivalent) I expect him to show us everything. I expect him to have prepared enough that he (or she) isn't saying "umm" a million times. Thanks, Nick, for creating an impossibly high standard and making it look easy and natural.
I love azimut.....and this Atlantis may every well be my first choice for a daily driver. It looks stunning....and the fit and finish is amazing. But the main electrical panel for the boat is a bit curious.....looks like it’s out of a 1985 searay Sundancer, and not a 2020 azimut. So....what’s the deal wit dat?
Why does a boat with the IPS joystick also need a bow thruster? I am sure there is a good reason, I am guessing something to do with needing more "power" in windy conditions or something, but I would be interested to know for sure. Also, why do Volvo designate their engines "650", when they are 480hp? Why not call them what they are?
Bow thruster - yes, extra leverage in windy conditions. IPS, I believe it's supposed to relate to an equivalent shaft drive hp, so IPS650 should give similar performance to the same boat with twin 650hp shaft drive engines.
When you opened the engine hatch, i thought :" oh that looks smaller then usual.. " i started laughing when i noticed you skipped the part where you climbed into the engine compartment. 😋🤣🤣 Thanks for all the video's Nick 👍👍
Thanks nick, great tour as always. Maybe I’m biased but I’m still thinking for the money a two year old v48 is a nicer option and quality then the azimut
