Hello my friend Dave yummy onion rings nice and crispy they look absolutely mouthwatering it’s time to go to bed and I’m watching you at 12:30 in the morning eating onion rings and drooling enjoy your weekend my friend stay safe and God bless🙏😋💕🌏
Came across your channel today. You make such good recipes here - will definitely be trying this one in the weekend. Thank you for some brilliant tips x
Wow that crunch !! They look 👀 delicious. Can’t wait to make them. I love the onion rings at Red Robin but they are expensive. Definitely going to make these. Just regular bread crumbs or panko ? Thank you Dave for another wonderful recipe 💜💜💜
They looked and sounded fantastic dave I had some last night from our local takeaway as a side and believe me they didant even come close to yours these where soggy greasy chewy they ended up in the bin and the prices of takeaway foods have gone through the roof here in the uk but the standard of food you get as dropped dramatically dave and they seem to be getting away with it but these are going on the to do list the grandkids will be having a treat next time they visit there grandad lol thanks for sharing dave have a great weekend it's getting cold here in the uk time for the winter warmers recipes any ideas would be most welcome lol
Hi...I like all your recipes and i learn a lot from you...thank you! Also I remmber you did talk to "the art of cooking". His name's Raymont? He teaches us Chinese food and he's too the best! Do you know what happen to him? Thank you!
Freeze them in single layers not touching or can we place them in zip lock bags? Will over crowding them in bags cause them to stick to each other during the freezing process? Your onion rings look absolutely delicious. I tried twice at making onion rings but made a mess😂. All the batter ended up in the grease cause it fell off the onion and I ended up with fried soggy plain onions.
Hi there. How are you guys? We do have an air fryer recipe for them. Same batter, etc. It works fairly well. I just find they are dry in the air fryer. Air fryers have a tendency to do that. Hope this helps you and Tim both.
@@TheCooknShare thank you, I will try it both ways. I'm not apposed to deep frying but it's easier for me to throw it in the air fryer or oven while I work on something else lol multi tasking 🤣😜
@@TheCooknShare hello, how are you and your wife doing? Any big plans for Thanksgiving? Hunter is doing well. He was golfing today so he was a happy camper lol
My biggest problem with restaurant onion rings is that while the batter on the outside gets crispy, the onions themselves remain slimy, and that's a very unpleasant texture to me. Does this recipe make the onions themselves crispy?
@@TheCooknShare the old version of your recipe had cornstarch+APF. now its just APF. is there a reason why you changed it? just a humble question, im just a newbie xD
I'd add a good sprinkling of flaky sea salt or fleur de sel when they're hot and placed on the racks to drain. They do look amazing.

Mmmmmm Look and sounded Delicious, Dave.. That crunch at 8am, was out of this world lol
Hey there my friend. The crunch and taste was so good. Hope you try them.
they look tasty
I recently made these and they are indeed incredibly good and crunchy. The downside is they do take a lot of time to prep
So glad you enjoyed. They do take a while though.
Any panko crumb works, I seen Italian style panko and regular, which one did you use.
Yummy love onion rings so expensive at fast foods .will make my own thx
Hi Trudy. Yes, I love them too. They are really much cheaper at home.
Beautiful
Thanks ever so much.
Love crispy fries and onion rings! 👍👍
Me too. They were so crispy. Hope you try them.

Hi Kathy. The were super crispy. Red sure would be nice. Hope you enjoy. Let us know.

Cool!!!! Can another flour be used?
Thank you for sharing ❣️😃
Hi. What kind of flour were you thinking? You're so welcome.
Yum is right

In you're original video you mixed the cornstarch in with the flour, is there a difference doing it this way?
No, not really. Either way is fine.
Dave, your onion rings look so yummy, just like at the restaurants.
Hey Byron. They were indeed my friend. The crispiest I've ever had. Hope you are well, Byron.

Thanks so much. I don’t know what happened to Raymond. He just disappeared. If you find out, let me know.
Gonna make these tonight with some fried chicken. I’ll come back and let you know how we liked them! Hopefully I can pull this off lol.
Great. Hope you enjoy. Let me know.
I saw your first video. So do you think your onion rings came out better separating the cornstarch from the flour?
A little bit, but both recipes are good. Hope you enjoy. Let us know.
I might try to make these with some beer for the liquid, just wondering how it will turn out...
Great. Hope you enjoy. Let us know.
My favorite onion rings 💖🥰💖💖🎈💖
Hey there. Yes, mine too.
Can these be baked instead of fried?
Sure they can. Just keep an eye on them, as they dry out pretty fast.
My favorite is beer battered onion rings. Could you substitute ice cold beer for the sparkling water?
Hi Cynthia. I think you could do that. If you do, let us know. Enjoy.
After battering the onion rings can you freeze them overnight and fry them up the next day?
Sure you can. I often leave mine in the freezer for a few days.

Hi Dave, can I use an air fryer as well?
Good question, let’s hope we get an answer.

King Louie would have made you The Count of Monte Crisco, get it ? 😋
Hey Carole. LOL. I sure hope so. I get it. How are you?
Damn, hope I cook 'em properly
Yummmmmmy 🧅🍻
Thanks so much my friend. How is Hunter?

Yes, I agree. The onions were fine. I found anyway. Let me know if you try it.
Can you use bottle water
Sure you can. Hope you enjoy
no more cornstarch?
Not sure what you mean?
@@TheCooknShare the old version of your recipe had cornstarch+APF. now its just APF. is there a reason why you changed it?

I just thought I'd try flour. It works well. I do think corn starch might be a bit better though. Still debating.
No sugar? I just assumed they had sugar in them.
Not these ones. Hope this helps
Can I skip cornstarch😅
You can, but it does really help.
😋😋👍👍🤓🤓
Now you talking! Always pull off the membrane !
Absolutely!
