    I'd add a good sprinkling of flaky sea salt or fleur de sel when they're hot and placed on the racks to drain. They do look amazing.

    After battering the onion rings can you freeze them overnight and fry them up the next day?

    • @TheCooknShare
      @TheCooknShare  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure you can. I often leave mine in the freezer for a few days.

    • @nelsonsmith9577
      @nelsonsmith9577 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Freeze them in single layers not touching or can we place them in zip lock bags? Will over crowding them in bags cause them to stick to each other during the freezing process? Your onion rings look absolutely delicious. I tried twice at making onion rings but made a mess😂. All the batter ended up in the grease cause it fell off the onion and I ended up with fried soggy plain onions.

      Hi there. How are you guys? We do have an air fryer recipe for them. Same batter, etc. It works fairly well. I just find they are dry in the air fryer. Air fryers have a tendency to do that. Hope this helps you and Tim both.

    My biggest problem with restaurant onion rings is that while the batter on the outside gets crispy, the onions themselves remain slimy, and that's a very unpleasant texture to me. Does this recipe make the onions themselves crispy?
