What I really appreciate about you guys is the lack of gatekeeping on the small things. You didn’t need to give us the details on the sour cream seasoning but you did anyways and I really appreciate those small pieces of information. 🙏🏼
@@FallowLondon Also, you see drop from views, ofc, it'll get worse, you are just bad person that's how it goes, your work may be good, but there's TON AND TON of Chefs, better than u 100x
Oh MY Gosh... You just taught an old dog a new trick... I have been cooking for over 50 years and have had a restaurant and a food trailer... and have always wanted to have Fried Onion Rings... I have tried but it seems to slip off and they just don't look as good. I never knew you could Freeze these... That is a TIME Saver. On a Food Truck... Onions are a good profit... especially Onion Rings Thank YOU so much for this great video.... Sooooo Happy.
Lol, I've bee banging pans for decades and pick up something from every Fallow post. I love how they set a target for a dish and persevere until they hit it.
I made it a point to go to Fallow in April when I was visiting family. It was so good, I made everyone go back a second time. Looking forward to dining at every restaurant under your umbrella next time I visit London!
I don’t think I could ever get enough of these videos honestly. My absolute favorite. Short, concise, unique recipes and methods, and very informative. As someone working in the industry I love learning how other people do things and so many people don’t really share knowledge. Thanks for sharing, these videos always make my week
To everyone questioning the msg, try the recipe but only add msg to half the batch, the other half with none. Then feed them to your friends and ask them which ones they like more! You will get your answer Chefs.
Exactly, it’s like when people don’t understand what makes the 11 herbs and spices of kfc taste so good and I always say it’s not the herbs and spices, the secret is MSG 😂
Hey Fallow, your instructional videos are as good as anything related on TH-cam. Thanks for the effort and the things I’ve learned. Pat on the back to the production side too, easy to watch 👍
Just made these rings tonight along with corn on the cob and grilled lamb steak and GOOD GODDAMN....BEAUTIFUL!! Followed the recipe with my on little twist on it (i.e. Garam Marsala, ground Guajillo peppers & Turmeric for color.) They were an absolute hit! My wife loved 'em! Thanks Guys!!!
Love seeing fancy restaurants embracing MSG. Got way too bad of a reputation in the past but I think it makes most breaded fried food significantly better.
You should check out buttermilk powder for a sour cream seasoning. It's in products such as Ranch dressing powder and powdered sour cream dip and it gives it that lactic acid tang and creaminess. Highly recommend checking it out.
Absolutely elite 😍 also crushing up crisps to use as seasoning is genius. Definitely gonna have an evening of trying out different combos making my own seasoning
Awesome. Our local chinese takeaway always did the best onion rings, but they changed owners recently, and we ordered onion rings and we got ten frozen "onion" rings for £5. So I've gone back to making ny own. You can't beat them. Try soaking the sliced onions in clear pickling vinegar for around 5 or ten minutes. It softens and beeaks tge onion down quite quickly, and does something to the onion that when drain, dry it off then flour, batter and fry it, it adds an extra dimension to the flavour - it doesnt turn it in to a pickled onion flavour, and doing this works with red/brown onions too.
Hi🙋🏻♀️my Bro & everyone 🗺️🕊️🫶 Onion rings my favourite & thank you for sharing your detailed easy peasy recipe👍Looks super DELICIOUS! God Bless🙌🤲🌈🙏us all 🗺️🕊️🫶MC/Q🕊️🫶🌹
That seasoning sounds amazing, please please please tell the ratios so I don't have to spend all day trying (and inevitably failing) to recreate it at home.
I’m always bummed out when I don’t like a particular food. I can’t do blue cheese. I’ve tried all different kinds in all different forms but it’s just a flavor I can’t get behind. For the people out there who love it I’m sure these amazing rings pair beautifully with that salty earthy blue cheese fondue! I probably wouldn’t skip it if I were there in person, I’d have to try it the recommended way! However there was a little Irish pub beat my house in Hudson Valley NY that made a horseradish dipping sauce for their onion rings. Man I couldn’t get enough of that stuff. DEFINITELY making these….
Question there for coating the onion ring for the dredge, does the same concepts apply as fried chicken for the high number of tosses per piece for a better coat?
They look magnificent. While the main recipe does seem pretty easy, not sure the seasoning at the end is quite as much for a home cook. You could probably get something close, I suppose

@@VALUE-MENTALITYgo away little jealous boy.....
Some day eating at this restaurant is slowly but surely becoming something of a bucket list item...
I would order everything and spend way too much. Whewps
Likewise. I'm heading to Europe shortly and am thinking of visiting London because of these videos.
Agree with you on that with you bud
As soon as I've saved up, so 2043!
Fallow recipes have become a favorite when friends come over for dinner.

Ok, This is stunning...As soon as you said they can be frozen I immediately knew what my plan for this weekend will be ..

Just when you thought a vegetable couldn't make a phone call, onion rings.
Bro 😂
I don't know what there's more of - layers of thought or layers of flavour. Fantastic work.

you guys put so much effort into your food. amazing to see
yeah i thought what he was doing seemed crazy until he said they freeze really well
I will try these at home, love the detail and instructions, great content 😊

Love to hear it!
Going to try these out with a herb panko I’ve got lying around I think the flavour will work an they might look quite pretty as well
Thanks for sharing the knowledge .
So glad to see MSG it brings so much flavour
That’s a quality recipe and tutorial
Love seeing fancy restaurants embracing MSG. Got way too bad of a reputation in the past but I think it makes most breaded fried food significantly better.
I put msg in almost anything it’s so good
Yes Chef! They looked amazingly delicious! Thanks for sharing! 🙂😋😎❤
that blue cheese fondu looked crazy good. Onion rings too. Marinating them overnight basically cooked them.

I think u misunderstood, they used to pringles as a guide and mimic the flavour using onion powder, msg and dried chives ahaha
@@etypiccolo+ citric acid
I'm definitely going to try this. I've made onion rings a couple times, but they turned out to be mostly breading and not much onion coming through.
going to try this ! thanks ⭐
Beautiful.
That looks incredible

seasoning onion rings to mimic sour cream pringles is brilliant
Another great video! And haha, I was the 1000th like for this video 😊
Looks delicious!
love watching you guys cook and everything about your recipes.....but is MSG necessary ?
Not necessary but it definitely makes things taste better and there is no science to suggest it's bad for you (unless you're allergic to glutamate).
Amazing as always
I'm gonna need a recipe for that sour cream seasoning, please and thank you!
Would you please show how to make an onion loaf like they do at miller and carter. Would love to be able to recreate that at home
Your recipes are honestly banging!
This is amazing
2:36 100% agree. The onion rings that McDonalds used to do sometimes were like this and they were awful.
They look amazing! You wouldn't need any other seasoning with the amount of MSG you used here though😄

Is there a fallow or fowl cookbook you guys have or will put out
I'd love to work at this place
Onion rings with peppered sauce 😊
Can you also put them in the oven or airfyer to get the same result?
That’s looks delicious. I’m a big fan of a flaky onion ring

Thank you for letting us civilians into your recipes and menu development. It’s so amazing.
Please share the sour cream seasoning recipe!!
Can you make an epic onion bhaji please? 😊
wish more restaurants would go back to battered rather than breaded onion rings; the panko is a dealbreaker for me in this application
Measurements of ingredients would be great ❤
Thank you for sharing this recipe! Oof and those beautifully cut chives at the end 🤌🤘

Is this on the current menu? Ill be there every day onion rings are my favourite side!
It’s slowly becoming a goal to travel half across the world, just to eat at fallow restaurant
Fire 🔥
They look banging
IMO, the best Onion Rangs are the ones someone else makes… so these qualify!
Oh Lordy 😊

Looking forward to a Gary Eats review.
I love your videos if love to see one of the potwash team and a day in there life
What is in the blue cheese fondue chefs? other than blue cheese x
at what point do you add the siracha mayo?
Damn they look good
Best ever is a personal opinion.
can one follow this method w/o MSG?
One onion ring to rule them all.
Blue cheese fondu!
Proper that
Man, this would be great in a cookbook. Hint. Hint.
Definately need a crag counter for future videos 🤣🙏
MSG on onion rings?
Secure the crags!!
This comment section really is horrible. You guys are great.
What can you substitute for MSG? We can’t get that here in Australia.
Now, where can i buy white onions ? Only brown and red in my supermarkets
The buttermilk will be where the acidity is to soften the onion.
best onion rings are light beer batter ones with some salt nothing crazy and some mayo for dipping
I've made onion rings a couple of times with brown onions and batter made from flour and water. They were crap.
We don’t mix dry first 🤔
peace be upon you sir and zamzam water
bro you need like 3x that amount of dip for those rings
Son: When are the onion rings ready dad?.
Dad: You need to go to bed son.
I knew he was gonna say kragy 🤣🤣
Never heard anyone admit to using MSG
Wonder what they’d look like before the panko step. Curiosity might kill the cat and I’ll have to try myself!
i like my onion rings 6:26
Thanks for not hoarding your knowledge and secrets!
