      Money was the reason. Why did Gagaloo skim over the fact that when he would marry Paola Franchi, Reggiani's alimony would have been cut in half? And that the money grubber sued her own daughters for said alimony? (The daughters were sentenced in 2020 to pay her what Maurizio would owe.)

    I don’t think she loved Marizzio as much as she loved the idea of fame/money. She loved the name Gucci more you see that throughout the film. She went after him after she found out his name! I then think she loved him. But look how jealous she got that she plotted and arranged for her husband who she say she loved to be killed. You don’t kill people you love. You don’t leave your daughter without her father. If she really loved him she would have eventually accepted he fell out of love with her & let him be happy & move on. But she resulted in killing him!

    Patrizia was sentenced to 29 years but served only 18. It's debatable whether she ever really loved Maurizio more than she wanted to be a Gucci. And she wanted Maurizio to die before he remarried because she would've lost half her alimony and allowance from Gucci, which Maurizio paid up until he was murdered.

    not an hardcore fan of the story but money was definitely involved. not actually her money: Patrizia managed to retain the alimony the family was paying her even after having her husband murdered (very skilled lawyers, I guess). but a big threat to her family assets would have been her ex-husband getting married and having other children. this would greatly cut the inheritance that her two daughers would eventually get.

      @ABCstockholm007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@robertl.6919 Its not "these women". Its the whole system. Its the media. Its the industry. Its society. Its so much.... Just like young boys get told to never cry from every corner, young girls get told to be "pretty" by the current (often toxic) beauty standard. The effect is strong and shows many times. Men with emotional issues and women with body issues later. Could list many more examples.

    • @robertl.6919
      @robertl.6919 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ABCstockholm007 There is pressure indeed.
      But from whom exactly ? Latest studies show that young girls are subjected to criticism , sarcasm, body shame mostly by other young girls. Influencers are now 20 yo girls with fake lips and boobs all across the internet platforms.
      Madonna has always been a strong headed independent woman but can't accept growing old. Who finds her attractive now ? Who pressured her to destroy her face ? And more recently, Adele was harshly critized by her own fans for losing weight because they felt she was " pressured " by the industry.
      She wasn't. Her decision. She wanted to be healthier and feel better.
      So you see its a very complex situation
      but I see most of the pressure coming from what women themselves set as " beauty standards". I live in a wealthy community and women can't stand wrinkles at 35 yo... So some get face jobs at quite a young age. And I guarantee you that not a single man
      I know told any of their spouses to get the job. Men don't like the new look.
      But these women pressure each other
      all the time: Oh its not painful...You should get it to ! ...And so on...
      I told my wife I would split if she ever does that to her face... 😏

    Wrong Gaga. $1.5 million per year in alimony payments was what she gained for killing him. She sued for and won her back pay the instant she was released from prison, almost $30 million. Had Maurizio lived to remarry, her alimony would’ve been cut by half which she famously said would not be worth a bowl of lentils. She had every motive in the world to kill him and she’s in Milan counting her millions with no remorse and no regret. Still a great film and still well acted. But Patrizia never loved Maurizio. His father was absolutely right about her. And had he listened to his father, there would still be a Gucci at the helm of the company.

  • @vz1389
    @vz1389 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I do not know why, but I think that Gaga projected her vision of Patrizia which is very wrong. The real Patrizia, from what is know of her, was never actually genuinly sorry for murdering her ex husband! Her personal world was always about the money, and once she realized that she could be deprived from all the wealth, she did one and only thing that she believed could "keep her in the game" and keep her "alive"...
    Even today she goes shopping non-stop, wears fancy and really expensive clothes and does not want to back from her life style at all, not an inch! She was famous by the parrot, that was sitting on her shoulder while she went to shopping in Milan!
    I think she said someweher: "It's better to cry in Rolce Roys than to be happy without it".
    Money was and is her entire world and I really do not think love had much to do with it, unfortunately...

    I am Italian and what Lady Gaga said is totally far away from the truth, they were not financially abandoned from the father when they moved in New York, that is ridicolous....she has been eating his head for more than 10 years during the marriage and she was thinking only about money complaining cause it was never enough and above all she had a loooot of interest for money purpose to have him dead before he was going to marry again. It is totally crazy that now she is out of jail.

    I don't know, obviously I'm not one to argue with someone that played her and researched a lot about her, but I feel even though she actually loved him incredibly with all the things he did to her especially about leaving her without notice, she ended up hating him and obviously killing him so she might feel some guilt but not much I don't think so.

    Gaga never speaks the truth about Patrizia: when she decided to kill him, he was going to marry again and she was going to lose a lot of money, half of it. It was about the money, not about love, sorry Gaga.

      I think she meant more so that Patrizia felt betrayed. Like she said, Patrizia married her husband before he had money. She probably felt very angry and conflicted at the man she once loved fiercely without intention of inheriting the money, like the new wife probably was. Not saying that money wasn't a factor, but I think that Gaga was focusing on how passionate of a woman Patrizia is. Gaga even mentioned in the video that she previous thought that she was just a gold digger.

      @@rachel5399 well.. I do believe that in a way she was. Yes, he wasn’t rich when she married him but there were good perspectives, considering his “lineage” so to say. And the aphorism “it’s better to cry in the limousine than to be happy on the bicycle” belongs to her.

    That actually is NOT true! It was a huge financial gain for her. If she didn't kill him, Patrizia would get half of her alimony, not $1.5 mil per year. It's all about $$$ always is always will be.

    Patrizia did an interview where she said she would take nothing back. That woman does not give one concern that she had him killed and is only happy she was awarded the millions of dollars in back pay he contracted to her, as alimony, when they divorced. That is ALL she cares about.

    This is such a lame explanation when it comes to the murder motives from someone that says that went through method acting and searched everything so she can get into the role. Patricia saw Mauricio's death as a solution to her problems and she was happy when she was informed that he is dead , her words. She wanted him dead before he gets remarried, her words. She didn't want him to have a new family because that would mean that her daughters are getting less, her words. She is trying to justify Patricia's actions and now I see why the Gucci family is offended with the movie.

    I follow Gaga since her disco, fame phase. She's an intelligent woman, BUT! She is naive or stupid to defend Patrizia in a way. Patrizia was a greedy woman who let murder the father of her two children. Period. She doesn't feel guilty. Hello???
