I'm first generation Italian-American. The first time I was in Italy was with my father. We stayed at the Excelsior Hotel on the Via Veneto, I was in love. They Roman women looked like me and the land screamed " welcome daughter, you are home".
At that time I had 2 children in high school and a husband. If I grown children, I swear, I wouldn't have come home. It was wonderful. All the men would ask my father about the young beautiful woman he had with him. He was thrilled but would say: " she's my daughter! " That is what I will remember, my Father home, speaking Italian. It was the best trip I ever had.
Today is my dad's anniversary of his death. Oct 08, 1998 and I'm crying like a baby. My icon upper left photo, is my father, balancing me on his hand. I remember that, the feeling of keeping my legs stiff and arms to balance with total trust, for He was my daddy. He was 41 when I was born. As a little girl I always knew that I would be cheated out of time with my parents. My siblings were much older and I was a bright kid whom at 4 knew that my sister and brothers would enjoy more of their years than I would.
There was one thing I enjoyed with my father that they didn't. My trip to italia with only my father. 🇮🇹 Ti Amo Papa 💔
CHE BELLA STORIA MARIEN...LOVE TO YOUR FAMILY
So sorry for your loss. I lost my father when I was 14. I’m 42 now and it seems it gets harder each year. Your father is looking down on you and remembering that trip too.
I am so sorry for you but also remember how lucky you were to have him for a daddy many blesssings belle 🙏🏻
♡♡♡♡♡♡
Got emotional from your story 😢❤️ May your father have the best place in heaven ❤️
Shows how dangerous Narcissists can be. Don’t glamourise them just coz she’s a woman. She was still a Narcissistic abuser & manipulator. Do not blame the victim for wanting to get away from her.
Totally agree. This Has nothing to do with love towards another being as the narrator says in the end. She loves herself only. Awful human.
My exact concern that the movie will TRY to glorify her actions
Unfortunately narcissism wasn’t know bout till now. Although I’ve heard bout the name brand and don’t care bout it,seems like a good movie.
@@tinahuttner7280 Narcacism, Vanity & Conceit were always known about. The word was just not overused like it has been this past decade.

The love of money loses her emphaty. Most people love her honesty n her strong character, more over...the popular lady gaga plays her character. But in the end...she's just a criminal.
Yep she's a murderer.
That's not how she's perceived though. Patrizia lives in Milan _(wealthiest city in Italy)_ as a free woman and has no remorse about what she's done. Her attitude in the end stating she got out of Prison just as she went in, without a problem, was telling. She still needs or wants for nothing and is living better than most. I would not trust her for a Friendship or Relationship.
@@TheBrownIsland Too bad they didn't take all from her, so she had to work after the prison.
@@TheBrownIsland; No, They Shouldn't, but there is always Someone Stupid who might think these people change somehow, but narcissists don't change.
What a dangerous woman. But see with money all is well even if one is criminal minded. I wish to know how her relationship is with her daughters?
Perhaps they keep quiet or else they too will be blown away
unbelievable that her attitude hasn't changed, very well written
So basically you can be a materialistic sadistic woman, get ur husband killed, and live ur life without any regret 18 yrs later . She just lost 18 yrs the guy lost his life
yes, there are very light punishments in Europe but murder rate is much lower in here than US , in my country in Northern Europe you get 6-10 years for 1 murder and 15-25 for 2,-3 murders, over that is life basically , know that because my mother is judge , and yeah it might look crazy for americans but II believe that Europes system is way better , I feel myelf very secure in my country , if I lived in US I was constantly scared for my life...you never know when you get shot in Florida for example , also I have never heard of a guy who spend 10-20 years in prison for murder and then came out and murdered abgain, they normally never do that again, she also tried to kill herself in prison so I dont believe that she wants to go back...( not defending her at all, what she did is horrible but I agree with Europes justice system) I believe that US justice system is more about revenge than actually rehabilitating of criminals
*Patrizia Reggiani* still to this day lives a very lavish lifestyle in Milan _(wealthiest city in Italy)._ She accumulated $22Million while in Prison and Gets $1Million per year from Gucci after killing her ex-husband. *His Father tried to tell him.*

In Italy yes
My husband did it to me. My several ancestors of mine caught their WIVES in bed with another. One of the husband walked in with a shot gun and SHOT HIS WIFE BUT NOT THE MAN! Too much? No, I could see it done. I don't blame any woman for their husband leaving them for another, if she kills him I say: Bravo!! Italians are passionate people in bed or out of it with a gun in their hands.
The narrator’s voice and accent is so beautiful. ❤️
Shakespeare, analysis of love, psychology etc - presented with a touch of class!
thank you so much for you support! 🙏
Beautifully put. One must understand passion and the old Italian culture.
@@ruraledition uncanny resemblance. I'm wondering what Lady Gaga will wear as she receives her Oscar!
Lady gaga playing Lady Gucci....can’t wait to see this! 🍿
Murder is still murder & we can say al we want about a person. But that is all irrelative. They are still a killer, deep, dark & down inside. Lets not glamourise this individual & give her sympathy. She did it once, she’d do it again if she thought she could get away with it. A devil incarnate.
AND RAPE IS STILL A RAPE AND MANY RAPIST ARE FREE , WHY ?
This movie Will transform this woman into an famous icon.
People love villains like those from mexican soap operas/telenovelas.
indeed, and imagine how much Patrizia will love herself 🤣
That will make her justify her actions to 1000%
Nah Gaga plays her from what I have seen plays her as the evil woman she is Gaga did not try to humanize her some people you cannot humanize he may not have been perfect but someone loved him he did not deserve his fate
Yeah....i wish i had the power to stop hollywood doing this. It's crazy how this women finally praised as strong character. Blahh.
You think so? We are talking about the house of Gucci Very rich people making products that only very rich people are able to buy. So who really cares about them? I personally will not waste my money to see this movie.
Moral of the story : love is blind and take time to be careful to choose a girl or guy
N also father knows best .
Wow, damn, It did seem like a fairy tale to be apart of The House of Gucci. she doesn’t regret what she did at all. And it looks like she wont worry about money either. The movie should be enlightening.
Right? She's happy she had him murdered, considered it righteous justice for his infidelity.
@@dorianhazel7491 That isn't a reason to murder someone.
@@joanie3452 I'm aware of that. I was simply commenting that to her, it was more than enough reason and she felt justified. Please don't armchair quarterback me for making a comment that wasn't filled with hysteria, judgement or inflammatory language. Thanks ^_^
It was a Fairy Tale had she behaved herself and wasn't so Greedy.... but yes you are right about how she does not regret what she did. That's what I was saying. Patrizia lives in Milan _(wealthiest city in Italy)_ as a free woman and has no remorse about what she's done. Her attitude in the end stating she got out of Prison just as she went in, without a problem, was telling.
She seen her husband as betraying her and her children. It seems she seen the act as protecting their daughters (Gucci heirs) from their father squandering and throwing everything away.. by selling his shares and marrying another woman (10 years after their initial seperation/1 year after official divorce) In the end, did she succeed in her efforts to protect her children (heirs)? Certainly makes you think deep. Many, many layers and perspectives in this tale for sure.
First off I would like to acknowledge the beautiful voice of the video's narrator! . Secondly I enjoyed and appreciated the video,it definitely educated me on a history of Gucci and can't wait to finally see the movie ( house of Gucci)
No one can be trusted not even the ones we lay with. Its extremely disturbing and interesting that she went to those extremes to try to take a name and business that wasnt hers to begin with. She was married into the family. Thats just GREED at its finest

What the heck, we have a poet in the house describing the life of sociopaths.

Patrizia Reggiania is a very dangerous woman, her love for money was on a different level.
Lady Gaga says as Patrizia Reggiani in movie: "I dont consider myself to be particularly Ethical but I AM Fair." (from: House of Gucci)

Fashion has always been a passion in my life, I believe because my grandparents were from Italy. Love, money and power raise us to great heights but can also be our undoing. Thank you for this video. I also look forward to the release of this movie. Ciao!
This is one of those extremely racially ignorant comments " I've always had a passion for fashion ,Its probably because your "grandparents" were "Italian"?!!!! , What on in the delusion!??🤯🧐🤔💀🥴🥴🤡🤡😂😂😂, As if only certain "ethnic" backgrounds are the only group of people "passionate" and for very much so into fashion , who makes this list and what countries ,states , races, and ethnicitys are on it ????,😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡, Some people are so lost in their own tiny little bubble and box of a world , totally UNCULTURED and PURE IGNORANCE ,AND SOMEONE THAT WAS AND STILL BLATANTLY REMAINS COMPLETELY SHELTERED ON REAL LIFE ,CULTURAL,AND THE WORLD!! THAT STATEMENT BLATANTLY SHOWS JUST HOW UNKNOWLEDGEABLE, YET SO JUDGEMENTAL THAT THEY TRULY BELIEVE THE IDIOTIC ,UNFACTUAL,UNDEREDUCATED VOMIT THAT THEY JUST SPEW OUT AS IF THEIR FACTS!!🤯 😂😂😂
This video is very well written, thought provoking. Most of us would rather be happy on a bicycle than crying in a Rolls Royce.
There are a lot more people on bicycles who are crying than happy.
Frankly, she sounds like a horrid person. Money can’t buy happiness but it’s better to cry in an old car than in a prison for eighteen years. I’m sure the movie is great and can’t wait to see Gaga. However the woman she is playing appears to me to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. For one thing, she’s was a cowardly killer-in-absentia. Yes, money can buy murder.
Academy award nominee and winner 🏆 🥇 lady gaga
her husband didnt know what it was like to go without and she did. i dont think she was willing to go back to that and she didnt got out of prison and is still comfortable. they didnt mention that blonde lady her husband was leaving her for was her best friend.
Oh wow no wonder she was upset. I think I would’ve done the same thing 😉 it’s bad enough that that they’re leaving you even worse for your best friend 😡
Fantastic storytelling! This was a great video, appreciate it.
This narrative is beautifully written. It sounds almost poetic.
Adam Driver and Lady Gaga along with Jared Leto as the transformation into the Uncle is something that I simply cannot wait to see. Al Pacino taken back to Italy for another family of power and greed will surely connect this star studded spectacular film. Lest I forget Selma Hayek who rounds out the main cast, will be mesmerizing and taken to new heights inside the House of Gucci.
Patricia, my own middle name does indeed emulate the pitfalls of getting that which her heart desires, and the horrific lengths she went to so that she could keep it.
Another tragic tale of the most fervent hate ignited from what was once flames of adulation & passion. It’s always sad to see madness & bitterness overtake someone due to spurned affections & morph into a violent & obsessive loathing.
is it just me or the way this video has been presented is on a very disturbing way?.... how can u romanticize the murder?? she could have divorce get her part and marry or find another guy but she was clearly out of her mind!
If maurizio had other children, it would reduce the amount of inheritance her children and she would get. He had already refused to give the daughters any inheritance already. She was simply too greedy to be satisfied through a divorce settlement.
We are sorry if you had this feeling! Our intention wasn't to romanticise murder and we didn't! We just wanted to describe how a love story or love in general (or something resembling it, at least) may lead to hate, murder and disgrace, when money and pride drive the choices of people. We alla agree murder is wrong and we all agree that Patrizia should have acted differently, however these are the facts and we wanted to find a universal meaning in it, rather than showing different possibilities and outcomes.
@Fiorella Ferrigno If/when he married the new girl, her alimony would be cut in half. Automatically.
My grandmother told me that every marriage has its own ages and that if one marries while in the grip of white hot passion, that marriage will never last.

Someone make this trend at Gucci. The shade...,

So did she keep her money and lifestyle? Apparently she took her vow literally, "until death do us part."
I always avoid people that judge you by your wealth. I find them destructive, and it doesn't matter weather they are poor or rich.
He knew she was a monster, that’s why he snuck away. Sadly, the sociopath narcissist still got him.
I read that Patrizia Reggiani once said, in regards to work program release from prison, “I have never had to work a day in my life and I’m not going to start now.”
I feel as if the upcoming film will make her a household name…and in a bad way.
Gucci was bound to fail anyways with all the inner fighting, the greed, the arrogance, the selfishness!
Yet people still buy their things?
The brand is still big, and not stopping
Wauw, this was quite deep and philosophical...how refreshing! 🙏🏻
Damn whoever is the narrator 👌👏👏 you’re the man
Like mother like daughter, and Gucci's father was right, listen to your elders. What was the point of her going to jail if she can still use his name and get money from the family business. Cut her off, not her kids.
Her lack of remorse is appalling! Nobody has the right to kill another. Nobody. She brought dishonor and pain to anyone related to her and to the name of Gucci. Criminals have no sense of property and this is why they go to extremes to "owe" something they did not work for. She was just greedy and deluded. The movie will expose that for sure. My respects to Lady Gaga for accepting this character to show us who she really was. 😔
Nah. Some deserve to. Especially those f'd in the head.
@@xyz-pg3zd No matter how insane someone is, we do not have the right to take anybody's life. Specially Maurizio Gucci. He was not the first man that cheated on his wife or left her. By comparision, the judge spared Patricia's life. Instead she was sent to jail, and even the assassin's life was spared. They had to do amends and digest their misconduct in jail. Even judges are very careful on not ending someone's life, and they have the power to do so. There are counted circumstances where it is necessary to end someone's life, but these should be exceptions to the rule, like euthanasia. If you think is okay to end someone's life, you have the right to think that way, but you might want to ask yourself: Would I like to be treated that way? Would I like to be killed?

In cases like someone such as Jeffrey Dahmer. Yes. Those are psycho lunatics who have no remorse. Most killers have to be messed up in the head to get to such a point. Do some research and many killers are ones who have some sort of brain damage/problem. So they should be able to roam free and kill whoever they want?

I wanna know what her relationship with her daughters are like, now that she is out of prison.
The daughters initially believed that she was innocent when she was charged with their father's murder. But then she was convicted, and they turned against her. They're not speaking with her, they want nothing to do with her.
a mother that always calls own daughter as "Bastard", what kind of mother is?
Hmm are you talking about my mother?
Do you know here too, Ma'am?
An unmarried Italian from the underclass, whose chances of financial security were close to zero. Patrizia's father was a foolish man, he should've married her when he knocked her up and spared his child years of abuse.
I love it it's amazing, from an anthropologue point of view it is delightful to see old videos :)

This story has got me hooked!!! Can’t wait for the movie
First time on this channel, I’m impressed, beautifully-done ♥️♥️🌟🌟🌟
I take laughter in a bicycle any day than crying in prison !!!! Mrs. G, for Greedy …😂😂😂
I don't think Patrizia only marries Mauricio for money reasons. They got married after Mauricio was kicked out of his family and in their family business. Patrizia truly loves him not for fame nor for power.
A lovely relationship turned into a tragic ending.
There's also his family status.
She was clearly not a woman to be undermined and spited. Her husband did both - not a wise thing to do. And to add insult to all other injuries he left her for another woman just as he sold the family business for hundreds of millions. I don't blame her. With such anger accumulating, it's a thin line between sanity and insanity.
you don't blame her for killing a person? why?
It's true. I blame her, but the money, the lifestyle, and all the public humilliation.. She just got revenge. And got to a break point. I also believe if there wasnt all this Millions around this marriage this wouldnt had happened. The humilliation is bigger because of that. Rich, exposed, left. She reminds me of Betty Broderick case. They just got to a point of insanity, depression. Patrizias áudios at that time wore not very sane. You Can see a desperate woman. By listening to it. Now shes more Confident. Prison time got her isolated. From all this. I'm Not excusing her, please dont Misintepretate.. But I really think she got mentally to a breaking point by the life that was surrounding her..
Betty Broderick was another obsessive person who created a PR machine from inside jail to help paint herself as the poor victim. Sorry, but Betty was NOT an abused wife and she did a disservice to all the women who have genuinely been abused and in fear of their own life within marriage.
Ugh now this movie is gonna glamourise her. She's just another spouse killer.
The things people will do to avoid poverty at all costs.
Amazing the well spoken English the family has in the 1970-1995 going by the footage.
I love Italiano, and I'm impressed how you presented this story. So I had no choice but to subscribe. My suggestion for you: As Italians, you are kind of obligated to make a classic movie analysis of "The Godfather" from your point of view.
Thank you for the suggestion! :)
His father Aldo knew immediately that Patrizia was there for money, - and now we know. And he also purchased that boat with bad omen...

in the old days, people got off for a "crime of passion" - which this certainly was. I guess that no longer works in Italy?
narrator's voice and the script lead one to meditate on the profound impace of true love.
unexpected depth to this telling of thie story.

It wasn't a crime of passion, that would be Patrizia doing it herself on the spur of the moment. This was planned and carried out by hitmen.

Italians love is very deep and loyal I think she felt so betrayed that she couldn't take seeing herself that way 🌹
Bull the only way you can do this to someone you love is if you have to in self defense she killed him out of hatred and greed and Jealousy and shows not a shred of remorse to this day
I think she did what she did because she was afraid to lose her status and her money and yes revenge.

Whoever thought Adam Driver looked like Mauruzio needs their eyes tested. From what I’ve seen of Maurizio he was a handsome man. Let’s face it Adam Driver is no oil painting. It’s terribly rude but he’s miscast in this role.
Ridley Scott clearly likes working with Adam Driver, he also cast the actor as one of the leads in "The Last Duel".
La madre di Patrizia è morta ultra novantenne dopo averla diseredata. Aveva un enorme patrimonio e ha dovuto lasciarle comunque la quota di legittima, come prevede la legge italiana

Appunto
A "true woman"? Excuse me?! Romanticizing greed, calling assassination "eliminating the demon of love" is soooo problematic.
This video is from the Italian perspective, that's really how this murder was perceived and why she got away with it
With "true woman" we meant that this video focuses on the person on Patrizia Reggiani in real life, and not on the Hollywood character performed by Lady Gaga. Obviously we don't romanticise murders, with this video we want to talk about a person that has been the protagonist of a tragic event and to narrate the reasons that made her commit this crime, to make the audience better understand what they will see on screen in House of Gucci
