- No Place Like Home
In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by an extraterrestrial catastrophe of unprecedented proportions, one man, Marshall Adams, struggles to cope with his newfound life. Marshall spends his days hunting for food, scavenging for supplies, and searching for his family from whom he was separated. In the face of the imminent danger brought upon by the apocalypse, Marshall will soon learn that the true danger is one which lies sinisterly within, an evil which hits much closer to home.
This film was made entirely with the DJI Mavic Pro drone. To our knowledge this is the longest film to ever be made exclusively with a drone, and although challenging at times, we believe this demonstrates the vast cinematic capabilities and advantages which this drone and others alike can have when it comes to filmmaking.
A majority of the music in this film was produced by CO.AG, and we would definitely recommend checking out this channel as well.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! Hope you enjoy!!!
Ok i couldnt stop seeing the fresh cut lawn, the cell phone in the pocket, the haircuts nicely edged up on the neck, the pellet gun instead of rifle, the lights are on in the home, Marshal looks like a 26 year old but has been married for ten years. Not bad camera work though, good transitions, not a bad idea but the acting was like watching Napolean dynamite and Pedro. Lol
The Script is only Half-Bad ... but, the MONO-TONE of BOTH THESE GUYS IS TOTALLY OBNOXIOUS !!!
i made it to 18 minutes, nice to no that after SHTF someone is still mowing everyones lawn
My sentiments exactly. And of course the roads are all nicely swept!
Aren't most of these movies like that, unless they're in the desert? And the power is still on, as well. Nice to know you can count on your lawn mowing service and the power company after the end of civilization as we know it.
I thought Nicolas Cage had the lock on bad films.
Those HOA rules still need to be followed
Guy damb near had the scope pressed against his eye at the beginning. Good sign someone isn't too familiar with a rifle.
I suggest you write and produce a short film for yourself, by yourself. Not every detail is tended to due to actors who have never hunted, and directors who did that very thing in their own lives. But if you are unable to create your own short film, please shut up. Jealousy is ugly on anyone.
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist I stated a fact. You seem to be uncomfortable with that...this is a open platform with open comment sections intending for the viewer to relay their insights and...comments.
You could put an eye out like that.
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist break barrel air rifles only shoot 1 pellet at a time too, pretty amaziong how this one shoots multiple rounds at a time, being a single shot air rifle.
@@Bigfoottehchipmunk oh yes, that is the first break barrel pellet gun that I've ever seen that could shot multiple pellets and not have to be reloaded or cocked! lol
Kids eating a bowl of water .
Also , I'd rather go back outside than listen to this guy keep talking 🤣
"it's been months", but the electricity is still on and the Bread in the fridge isn't green and the Half and half is still worth taking....
And lawns look newly mowed.
Picky, aren't we. Many millions of homes, now, have expensive generating systems outside their homes, and many are run on solar power. I am close to a man who had a huge solar powered generator installed for his log mansion in NC. Get a real education.
And the buildings and landscape are not burnt out ???
@@greggi47 Lawns are the bane of shooting post-apocalyptic movies on location. Plenty of people already have solar panels or generators for electricity; so that can remain consistent with the plot. But lawns are a problem unless the film can find a town willing to let itself be temporarily "trashed", like that town in "The Day After" in 1983 did. Lawns are also a disgusting waste of water, space, and pesticides. I'd rather have a garden. . .
There are ways to make that happen.
Generators, power via water, wind or even solar.
Come on , in this situation you know there won't be any power , I don't believe that these two air heads could figure out how to flush the toilet .
First of all I would think with such destruction would not leave so much of earth intact so well. Second, he is walking around in a possible hostile environment without any kind of weapon for protection. Third, power still on water still on. Let me tell you all they could not keep the power or the water on when we had the snow storm and below zero temperatures here in Texas. So, how the heck with the apocalypse the water and the power still on?🤪😁 okay, maybe he has a generator.🤔. Anyway, the story is trying. Good try though.
I'd love a post-apocalypse time where there is functional internet, power supply, water supply, 24x7 grocery/veggie/convenience stores MINUS HUMANS.
That bowl of water though! 😂😂😂
good writing!
It's really sad when a bad script and bad casting happen to good technical assistance.
2nd time seeing this. I was scrolling forever, then this, and I remembered seeing it maybe a year ago and thought to myself, YES! Yes because it has principles and humanity, struggles internally and externally, yes because the acting and script was spot-on, yes because of the birds singing and the narration, yes BECAUSE ITS GOOD! So I just watched it again, wish it did not end.
This is a joke right?
Put down the pipe.
Luke Bryan and Ralph Macchio, two outstanding performers teaming up for this edge of your seat post- apocalyptic thriller.
Totally unbelievable, this is not acting
I was serious all throughout the whole movie except the moment before it finally ended as the creature appeared out of nowhere , i'd just cannot stop Laughing😁 after seeing a cartoon like creature
Head shots are very difficult. Best to aim for the body, just above the foreleg, which will bring it down. Then finish it off asap.
Yeah. That annoyed me.
The faun is just hanging out and our guy doesn't bother with a kill shot?? Does he have time to follow around a screaming animal for 5 miles or does he have FU ammo to waste.
For someone who's hunted since he was 8 there is no excuse. It got me mad.
I get maybe they wanted the dramatic cries of a dirty shot to compare to his cries as a child. But that poetic junk makes him look incompetent and careless.
Good movie ❤
Interesting. Thought provoking. Worth watching.
I have never wanted a lead character to die so quickly or so badly in all my days.
I watched ten minutes, trying to distinguish him from the trees and the furniture, his acting was so wooden and that dreary monotone, like an annoying insect.
Sadly, he didn't die or wasn't killed in the first ten minutes, so I can only assume his ghost didn't take up the narration.
Maybe he bored the last humans to death, I don't really care.
Outta here...
I could not agree more! Someone stole an hour of my life with this religious, moralizing BULLSHIT. >> Tom's wife
Thankxz 4 heads up. I'm outta here too
Agreed. Also, I didn't realize that grain silos could explode like that.
Just because one can, doesn't mean one should.
And before anyone gives me s**t about this being a indie production... So was Ozland, and that was infinitely better.
Nice work guys, well worth the hour watch.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed
@@607entertainment Thanks, I really enjoyed it too. And I'm not going to put any spoilers here in case someone reads this before watching -- I LOVE the ending!
electricity, fresh bread. yeah. end days.
Sign of the triangle...@ 17:15...had to watch it twice..it set the pace for what kind of movie i was getting into.lol
the only thing good about this movie is how well he did when he was foraging
Yeah, me again, the full of "yes's" here, listen, I scrolled down and read many of the comments, and there are these who KNOW NOTHING of what it takes to make a film such as yours- they are ignorant to the facts. I however-AM NOT. I was a CASTING agent for Rynolds PRODUCTIONS & CADTING IN ATLANTA GA, AND.... u know what- they just DONT GET IT. This film would NOT have worked as well with any other voice or actor. He did a great job of showing us hope, in a depressing lonely state of the world and mankind. He is WEARY, he is HOLDING ON and its DREARY. U did a fine job of acquiring the RIGHT MAN AS THE LEAD, these guys with their opinion, is just that- their opinion, and they r entitled to that, but their bitter words ought not to phase you, because they are WRONG. How do they imagine your star should speak and behave?....Like the joker? Come on. There is a genuine cadence which is rich in the hollow lonely hours which he certainly conveys well. Everything is perfect in this film. Dont doubt yourself. U did VERY WELL.
You must be the mom or girlfriend because this wasn't even close to a good film. Send the youngster off to trade school already and stop giving them false hope. It stunk. Period.
Well done!
How is the electricity still working?
Very good question!
I had no idea the flight ceiling of the Mavic Pro was near satellite orbit. Good show lol
Good plot!
Mold-free bread after months?? woof.
Amazing cinematography, sounds, and music. Question. How are the sounds recorded without the sound of the propellers from the drone. I want to learn. Thank you. 🙏🏼
This was enjoyable
World-class music and sound effects around 5:45 . Who did that?
This show absolutely has it's pros. The hunting bit in the intro annoyed me but not everyone is rural so it has to be forgiven.
I still love the style, the lighting, atmosphere.
Nice Air Rifle. Fawns that old don't squeal like that.
I watched the video and read all the comments…. For a “homemade short” it was a good watch, the quality is so much better than any others.
To the critics - whatever it’s not a professional production with 50 million dollars to make !!
That xian moralizing utter waste of an hour wasn't "short" in ANY way! And I sped up the playback! Even the "alien" was shitty. >> Tom's wife
Civilisation has collapsed... but the grass is still nicely trimmed and the electricity is on.
Yes, just like today's collapse...Maybe symbolic of the fact that our signs of civilization do not mean what we think they do, it's already over.
Amazing job...Peace
As he walks across fine trim lawns, visits clean kitchens where the power is working some how . Really ?
How Funny
It's a comedy. I hope. It receives an immodest number of views so hopefully it is comedy.
I think that they did a good job
this is interesting, very good visuals and sound and acting is good also!
It's amazing that whatever the apocalyptic story is, that no one can turn on the light or change the bulb if there's power.. weird..
🤣
Excellent film gentlemen!!! If you guys need the diesel for acting purposes on your upcoming films just lmk!!
Duracell!!!
You’ll be in a film soon 😉
Hey guys , thoroughly enjoyed the short!
I cannot see why we won’t see you on the red carpet.
And who knows , I am sure you won’t forget to thank your Mother’s in your acceptance speeches at the OSCARS !!!!
❤️
Lmao that's not a rifle in opening scene it's a frigging pellet gun hahhahahhahhahhhaha
Humanity is an illusion, When the chips are down the beasts come out to play
Is he go talk the whole movie?? Dang
too bad there were so many flaws in the begining.. like.. nice clean cans of food, working fridge with edible food inside, not to mention the lights in fridge and kitchen still worked, neatly mowed lawns ... only good thing about this spoof is the fast forward button worked.. LOL.. nice try though
With a bunch of ZOMBIES running around the last thing I would do is to have a few drinks of alcohol.
That scream at 16:12
Love seeing CheezborgorTM in the comment section, a true icon
@@michaelyacovoni7321 I will and always have been
That pellet rifle sure is loud.
It has been estimated that there will be no wildlife left to shoot within 3 weeks of SHTF. People have no idea how dependent we are on agribusiness to feed so many people.
Naw, the domestic animals will mostly die; but the humans from the cities will starve long before they'll become adept enough to hunt actual _wildlife._ In our area there are deer and coyotes and foxes and twice a year wolves (who pass through going south in autumn and north in spring) but they're canny creatures. City people won't stand a chance of catching wildlife for game.
@@zxyatiywariii8 Lol, I live in a city and if there's an apocalypse I can shoot deer in my backyard pretty much every day of the week... it's not legal while we have a functioning government. "Actual wildlife" in urban areas is used to humans and requires little to no hunting.
People don't realize how many species almost went extinct during the Great Depression. Even rabbits and whitetail deer, and the population was about a 10th of what the US has now.
Fishing is a better plan IMO.
4:45 I did not know a DJI, or any other drone could fly in orbit. :-)
Good movie 🎥
There definitely not 2052 cars
I think a few raunchy FARTS would make this movie more believable and entertaining. Just a thought. I still give it 5 stars out of 5.
Remember that one scene in Dances With Wolves? 'Put Dat in your book.'
3:37 I want to take a break badly 3:37 it took me to get back to preparing for what's ahead. You guys watch it and make sure to leave a comment
As he walks across fine trim lawns, grouses clean kitchens where the power is working some how . Really ?
How Funny
Sir, no. I have electricity after six months, how? Sir. How? Sir no.
He must be a hairdresser
That's it?
car driving by at 1021
Sorry, half way through and im fallin asleep
Never seen an air rifle shoot a deer hunting load. Clean haircuts, lights are still on. What a waste of time to watch.
Good story but very average acting at the start. Dialogue could do with some tuning!!
Silos randomly blow up in the future
Silos randomly blew up in the past. Grain dust is extremely flammable and if oxidized quickly, say a puncture, a collapse etc, they don't so much as need a spark.
Despite all of the advances in technology and storage all the regulating bodies there are still 11 silo explosions in the us every year.
Check out the videos on you tube, they look like a joke for how huge they are.
Aww the poor deer🥺😥😪😭😤😡
Kill to survive that’s how god made this planet lol
Animals need to be killed to hunt for food
where did they get these actors from? this movie is anus!
Two way radio scene at around 15 min. was .....well........crap!
lmao... the year is 2050 odd, but it seems the church gave up on everyone in 2013. if only...
At least he did the Christian thing.
Is Marshall a veteran?
No.
can't deal with the lack of emotion. come on. it doesn't need to be oscar-winning, but it would be nice if it was human.
Seriously , a pellet rifle? lol.
Not much enthusiasm in the acting for the main character. Not sure if that is on purpose, but I'm damned sure I wouldn't be so monotone and flat when talking with someone on the radio. And what's with all the 'sir' in the dialogue. Why so 'polite'. It makes the character sound weak and submissive, something I sure wouldn't want to come across as in a post-apocalyptic world. OK that's it for me. I lasted 15 minutes.
Superbly acted cinematic masterpiece!!!
Lol, not really.
Less than three minutes in and an air rifle being portrayed as a firearm is a deal breaker and special effects make it even less appealing...I mean insulting the intelligence of the audience by adding fire and noise to scene! ridiculous. If you can afford to pay the actor you can afford to buy a real gun...unless of course the actors are convicted felons in which case they should be behind the scenes catering.
The basic messages are simplified, such as family values and Christian faith, etc., and there are many people who will like that. But it's not for me. (BTW, the director doesn't know how to do a proper "sign of the cross.") I suggest the producer/director get a good writer, because I had to cringe on many of the lines. Concerning realism, there's too much to ask from me. The neighborhood still is meticously maintained, electricity still powers society, and on and on. Much of it is a lesson on family values and some weird things like advertisements for Lloyd's Amarretto seem to be obvious plants.
You guys should add more chicks in your movies broader appeal to viewers
And ducks!
Ugh please no. Poinless romance to bloat films is pointless.
Ducks yes, please.
snore
If that’s a pellet gun lol shooting a deer with it.
Aside from putting his eye on the scope, mowed lawns, and every house having power, this is too slow and boring to be likable. I understand it takes time for character development but every minute that went by I hated this one dimensional guy more and more. At the 40 minute mark I had to turn it off. Better luck next time.
9 min mark is far as i could handle ,,, lol
Drivel.
Totally time waste...
That’s not God’s last name.
What the derp? This is a horribly bad movie! Bad acting, bad story, bad characters, just everything was bad. Don't waste any time watching this garbage! It just gets worse and worse. Someone needs a new career path...
Let down by wooden acting & lack of attention to detail. 👎🏻
Horrible!!!
Horrible acting ridiculous
Frustrating!!
Acting needs work😑
Oh, he's a Catholic that explains it.
You’re so witty!!!!
awful
A pellet gun???? really?? they won't even kill a cat. Stupid producers and direction.
Very bad Acting
