Smith Mainline Follow up Review

This is a 1 year follow up review on the Smith Mainline full face mtb helmet. This helmet has been great, even down here in hot South Florida. I would still recommend this helmet as its still one the the best ventilated helmets out there.

FANTASTIC PIECE OF KIT.
I Love mine.
I can even ride it without the chin strap fastened,have to be a little careful of my ear's upon adoning helmet as very snug fit.
Hardly notice I'm waering it

You mentioned that you have a size M. I'm right there between S and M with 55,5cm. Which one would you recommend?

It’s tough, you could go either way. My only advice is to order it from Amazon and if it dosent fit return it.

Great review. Any thoughts on the many reports of a noisy liner on these helmets ?
Trying to decide between this and a Fox Proframe

The mips liner does make a bit of noise but for me it’s not an issue. And that’s coming from someone sho dosent like noises coming from the bike (squeaks or creaks). The one thing the profame has that’s better in my opinion is the fidlock clasp but with that being said the double d ring on the smith is easy when you get used to it.

What’s the width of the strap? (in mm) Could you replace the D ring with an aftermarket Fidlock clasp?
