This Little Richard footage is priceless. He retired temporarily right at the pinnacle of his career and there weren't many videos made. Here you have him right at his peak singing a whole bunch with a great band. This is fabulous.
Little Richard was fantatic - almost a capella, and almost butch! Really shows off his voice when he gets away from his glitzy histrionics - he could surely ball, plain and simple!

El grado de excitación que provoca en el público es insuperable. Jerry Lee Lewis en directo solo es comparable a Elvis . Nunca había visto este documental.
Still sounds good, around the same time as Little Richard was touring with The Stones in late 1963 this was filmed, It's Little Richard was the TV programme which is also on You tube
The TV special was titled "Whole Lotta Shakin" in 1964 and had more footage. This video is the retitled 1977 showing. As some past commenters said, it's combined concert footage from early 1964 from two shows. UK Granada show.
I first seen this show in 1979 Don't Knock the Rock was on for about 3 hours, they might have shortened it for you tube, its good for British rockers, either Mods or Teds,.
Margaret Thatcher at the start? Don’t Tell William Richard is Little or he will rip it up. Lol Tambourine? Jerry sure is on fire. Wonderful show. All live
How do you follow a performance like that by Jerry Lee Lewis? a) You don't b) You chop it up in the editing room c) You go to a commercial break to lessen the impact d) All of the above Good luck!

Gene Vincent is so iconic. One of the greatest performers of all time
Is there ANY early rock/abilly performer who wasn't, in your view, "one of the greatest performers of all time"? Have you heard of Ersel Hickey? Yeah -- i thought not.
Listening Gene Vincent doing "You Are My Sunshine" I finally understood how good he was as a singer. Definitely a classic voice!
Gene Vincent the pure rock and roll.

I love how the kids go wild with Jerry and little Richard .what a fab night that was for the kids one to tell grand kids
My favorite number by the Animals is Talkn' Bout You, and here it is!
I noticed Gene Vincent is only wearing one glove, and everyone thought Michael Jackson started it.
Oui, en hommage à son ami Eddie Cochran mort dans un accident de voiture, duquel Gene Vincent a survécu.
What was the significance of the one glove? It adds to his menace when he sung so sweetly. I think it's the contrast.
