    i struggle with motivation to draw; watched multiple tutorials, speedpaints, motivational tips, tried to draw everyday, etc. yet i could never continue to push myself to keep drawing. BUT your videos became a giant inspiration to me to the point i wanted to get better. worked my butt off to figure out anatomy, clothing perspective, faces, hair, just because i loved seeing your art and realised that you push me to want to do better. hopefully i can make an oc soon for you to draw!

    Brush recommendations...
    * Watercolor Opaque 2 - Great for base colors and lineart!! Soft and layerable, and works well with the magic wand and bucket tools in my experience.
    * Fade Watercolor (Mix) - Love this brush for renderingggggg, also great for lineart. Very similar to the previous brush, but a bit denser.
    * Blurring Brush - Also nice for rendering, personally I wouldn't use it for lineart because of the fade at the end of the line, but I'd definitely use it for sketching!
    * Dip Pen (Soft) - Great for softer lineart that's also blendable. Not layerable, though.
    * Dip Pen (Hard) - My personal favorite for clean, precise, smooth lineart. Not sure if it would work as well for your personal style, but it's also my go-to for hard edges or things I want to make pop! (e.g. eye shines, foreground objects, etc.)
    Lastly I'd just encourage you to play around with the settings on the brushes! If something is exactly what you want with just one or two flaws, 9 times out of 10 it's something you could fix by changing the settings. I hope you find a brush you love!!!

    Hello!! about removing sketch from lineart, it wont really affect your lineart if the colour of the sketch is very high in saturation or if the contrast of the sketch comparing to the lineart is very high. Also, monochromatic colours for sketches wont really save you if you accidentally made the lineart in the same layer as the sketch. The divide layer is mainly to get a specific colour washed away, so it would be nice if you (for eg:) put the sketch layer as a very saturated colour (any colour thats clearly visible like blue or purple) and put the lineart as a dark colour like black and obviously youll have to lower the opacity for the sketch layer. Hope this helps

    I'm not sure if you know these but
    1. the Bucket Tool has settings to expand and to edit the strength so you don't have to clean 50% of it
    2. there's a filter to thicken your Line Art.. I think it's called "Stroke" but you'll have to change the settings so it doesn't look messy :D
    3. did you see the "Online" button in the Menu yet? you can download brushes people make, see people's Art and even read Comics people made!

  • @avivagodfrey
    @avivagodfrey 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    CSP user here, I absolutely have all my lineart layers isolated in their own folder when I draw - and if I can't find the location of that stray line, you can use the "move object" tool to select it and find it, for one, or if you select the FOLDER instead of the layer, the lasso will work on all the layers contained in the folder.

    You don’t have to go to canvas to flip the drawing, you can access it by going to layer, and clicking the flip button that is on the horizontal bar. the vertical one only flips the layer that you select

    2 of my favorite brushes are fluffy watercolor (mix) and coarse pencil, I normally use them for background and textures. Others that I use are the airbrush trapezoid 60%, I normally use it for blending colors, turn down the opacity and leave the brush big. The felt tip pens are also pretty good.

    just a tip for the rain filter at the end >3<
    you should stop the rain by pressing the button next to "Save Movie" so you can then change the speed and decide which frame fits the best in your art!! the rain drops won't move if the they're paused so it's a better way of controlling the drops ^_^

    Hey i wanted to say i have a few pretty good default brushes i use in i bis paint x, one of the being the out line brush it's good for backgrounds and alot more useful when adding highlights to eyes, as well as air brush (triangle) it's more useful for shading, blush and giving a nice glow to a character when adding light hope these brushes help you :)

    Hanacue do you think you would ever do a tutorial on how you draw your art?

  • @RealOneMemoRe
    @RealOneMemoRe 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    14:41
    This is hapend because of the size of tool and stroke directions.
    For the first both blur and smudge tools are work better if the size of it is larger.
    In the Ibis video the size of hard brush is 30 and smudge tools is 50. In your art its 90 and 72. In your case the instruments are much different in size but it do not safe proportions of it(3 to 5). If you safe the proportions it would be 90 and 150!!! this can really change a game
    To the second smudge(unlike blur) may have a different result because of it derection. If you draw a line and make movement from outside in you can see that line become thinner. But if you place your cursor on the line and move it inside out you see how line become thicker

    • @RealOneMemoRe
      @RealOneMemoRe 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The proportions and numbers are important if you use brushes and tools from tutorials!!! I hope I can clear explain your little mistake and now you can give to this tutorial a browny 'cause it actually work🙏🏻🙏🏻

  • @SnoFitzroy
    @SnoFitzroy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I like your logic behind the canvas size! For that ratio I usually go for 1985x2560 just because I like those numbers :3
    edit: the background tutorial introduced a technique I never would have thought of! And despite the uh,,,,weirdness,,,,of the eyeball tutorial, I can see it coming in handy for making meme art, such as if a character needs to have two very slightly different expressions :3 Strange tutorial but useful tip!
    edit2: I'd love to hear more about how the brush affects the bucket tool - I go back and forth between selection coloring and bucket coloring since tweaking the corners of things like hair is always v annoying.

    i love using "dip pen (hard)" but just tweak the settings a little with opacity at the start and end being close to 0. It makes it feel easy to use for me!
