Rewatching this because my long lost love for this game has popped back up in my head with the announcement of the sequel, when it comes out I hope you cover it.
RamZaes thank you for showing me this game! This was an awakening for me. I knew I loved visual novels but I've never plaid one before. This was just an amazing game. I loved figuring out the mystery, especially when pieces are falling together and working with your own theories.
@@parawebsite It's not that I think they're garbage, I just think they're badly written. I think most people like Junko because she be quirky. No other good explanation for motives other than "muh insanity and despair". In comparison I think Nagito's mental illness was actually written well, and thats why alot of people like him, or at least I do for it rather him just having one. I never really cared about Tsumgi but I think V3's ending was bitter sweet. Even though things with 1 and 2 weren't tied up this was an awesome way to end the franchise as some may disagree with. I would be completely be satisfied if everything else was cleared up and this was the last of Danganronpa.
Man this game doesnt get the praise it deserves, like holy crap its so freaking awesome. I gotta say I fully expected some super natural highjinks and was incredibly excited from the youtube campaign and all, but the story didnt dissapoint. I loved majority of the characters and man was it ever so satisfying to finish all the routes. Mizuki, Aiba, Hitomi, Moma, I loved you all so much :D Also, the voice acting is freaking incredible, one of the best out there as well. I know we hear Aiba's va everywhere lately but this was her best performance for me :) And god the music... and everything really. Tho I absolutely hated the way Tesa "blackmailed" us to come with us... That was so stupid.
I really enjoy your videos on games like this one, Persona, Fire Emblem and especially Xenoblade 2. They have lead my to actually buy some of the games you have played, which I really enjoyed to play for my self. The weeby aspect of some part are really enjoyable to watch and play for myself as well.
Oh with the loading of video files that also happens in the PC version. I think its an issue across all platforms. Also my gosh I loved this game so much, Moma is my favourite sidecharacter and Date x Aiba is such a great dynamic. Also the VAs did such an amazing job. Especially Boss in the Annihilation route.
This is honestly one of my favorite games I ever played ( right up there with Death Stranding & Conker's BFD) I literally couldn't put it down ever since I started. Its extremely hard to balance comedy with serious tones. Even moreso telling a prefect murder mystery. Reminds me of JJBA Part 4. Game even ended on a dance number and SOMEHOW it works.
Despite really detesting this game (really detesting it), I respect the hell out of the guy for making a sequel to a game that bombed horrendously, it does feel like something he believes in. I just don't like how it shifts mood so fast. One minute there's a somber moment, then suddenly it's wacky, to immediately shift to urgency, to take itself seriously, to become slapstick, and so forth. It feels like they just took the insane hokeyness of DanganRonpa and the serious tension of Zero Escape and just threw it in a blender instead of segmenting it so as not to clash with the other. When I did finally get my first ending I'd had enough and put it away forever
I'm reaaaaally excited for this game! I finished ZTD like a month ago and I needed another Uchikoshi game (and this one has Kozaki, the "creator" of FRobin :3). The only problem is that I need to finish 3H first, but I'm definitely going to buy AI. Also, your videos are really enjoyable!
@@TheMISTIK2000 its 100% a DDLC reference. it's a text box from DDLC and the line is from a certain scene at the end of the Sayori route and the protagonist opens... a certain door.
Finally got around to playing this game and OMG it is amazing, zero escape series was my favourite ds/3ds games and I loved the branching story, but this game has topped those and I felt I understood the overall story better with all the information you get at the end with what was happening in each branch, now to play the 2nd game
Just for the knowledge, those erotic novels are pretty good in writing content. Most of the Zero Escape series plot twists and themes did come from them.
@0:53 those visual novels are not erotic in any way (even if 2 of them have romantic routes). I HEAVILY recommend playing Remember 11 as it is, by far, THE BEST work Uchikoshi has ever done, easily surpassing his Zero Escape work and AI. Like, the amount of tension from scene to scene in that game is unparalelled, and it boasts the same trademark storytelling all his games have.
I just finished this game last night and I loved it. I loved the Zero Escape series, so I bought it practically sight unseen when I found out this existed (how this flew under my radar for 3 years is beyond me). I was not disappointed. It is the best whodunnit I've ever played. Kept me guessing constantly until the end. It kept blowing my mind! I was surprised at how much I loved the characters too, considering the fact that I always considered characters more hit and miss with him. I mean sure, he created Junpei but he also created Eric so... yeah, take that how you want. Seriously though, I am practically begging my friends to play this because the fandom isn't very active and I can't play the sequel right away because of a busy next few weeks. The story was genius and the only thing I didn't like was the gore (but I kinda knew there would be some given the rating and genre, so there's no one to blame but me). It had me audibly yelling at it in a few places. That's how you know it's good! One of the best games I've played in this genre and probably my favorite murder mystery game of all time just because of how satisfying all the twists were!
I am so sorry, I absolutely love you as a creator, but after finally playing through the game, and knowing the context of the thumbnail, the thumbnail absolutely riles me up I hate it I hate that fucking polar bear
