- On todays episode of GROB I catch myself on FIRE, trying to resurrect a 1986 Kawasaki 454 LTD!!! This bike is very clean for its age and was a pain in my ass but we gotr dunn. Now that I'm a biker man I LOVE CRANKIN MY HAWG!!!! YALL NEED TO KEEP UR GRAZZ CLIBBINS IN UR YARD SO I DONT HAB TO LAYER DOWN.... BUDD. KEED DEM WRENCHES TURNEN GOBBLESS.

I have a 1982 yamaha xj1100 that my dad gave to me and there is something about theseold late 70s/early 80s Japanese bikes that have a place in my heart. Sure they take a but more to get going but they take a hell of a beating, love high rpms all day and just ride smooth.
Calling that bike a steal is an understatement. She just wanted a tiny bit of attention and she's ready to go! Got my answer on whether good cops make good firemen, too.................😜

I see the bones of a beautiful bobber build! It could make for a good project series if you’re into that stuff. Regardless, she’s a pretty bike!
I've had the same problem ordering kits for a harley dyna and my cb750. I always now just reuse my old jets and 5hrow the new ones in the trash and just use the gaskets or o rings

I had one of those back in the 80’s. Was a fun bike til a teenage girl who just got her license made a left turn into me in the middle of an intersection. Totaled the bike but thankfully I only had bumps and sprains due to the fact I was wearing a good helmet (scraped the whole side of the helmet when my head hit the pavement). Nice to see another one resurrected!

Nice investment, looks like it may be a it of fun. Not sure about the ride on the penthouse side of that King/Queen seat, I suppose with enough sissy bar, lol! & a knowledgeable passenger. Decades ago, had a GF riding, she leaned a bit up on a curve, damn near changed lanes before I could keep it on the center line... & she was upset with ME, lol. Darned lucky, even tho I had been riding since I was 8, she hadn't ... Glad she wasn't the keeper, lol... Stay safe, & FUN! Thanx !

454 LTD is just amazing. I have mine since 1995 and every so often I get bike fever and revive it. This time around I'm doing everything myself and it amazes me how it keeps coming back to life. Thank you for making the video as it is a source of inspiration to keep on working on mine. How much did you ended up selling it for? Not planning on selling mine, just curious.

Did you clean out the rust? I assume so since youre using the tank. Where was the gas leaking from? did you fix that? I assume so, since I didnt see it leaking anymore, but still I would have liked to have seen those being addressed.
Yes and yes I’m sorry sometimes the videos of me fixing that stuff don’t turn out great or just get boring but I’ll be sure to add more of that content thank you for the feedback

I quit buying mechanical replacement parts from eBay. Nothing but garbage; I now will only use original or at least proven parts for anything automotive.
