HELP! Newbie question :) I have a Canon EOS 6D and need to film myself on camera. What are the settings to ensure I'm always in focus while filming since it doesn't have face tracking or a flip screen. Do I need to get any specifc gear or app to set this up? Thanks!
Hi. I was thinking about getting this camera but online , when you compare cameras, they always give it's video a low rating. Without magic lantern, how capable is it? Thanks

I'm not sure if you can read this message but I followed your instructions installing Magic Lantern to my Canon 6D, i have issues when recording raw and only supports a low resolution video recording. When recording high resolution i can only record up to 4 seconds before it says frame skipped. Stopped. If anyone can help me out I really want to get into film making with this camera. Big thanks❤️
I've just ordered a 6D for stills, but if it's just simple TH-cam videos you want to make, then the even cheaper crop sensor Canon 70D with 'flippy screen' & dual pixel face tracking in movie mode is a great option. I got a really minty low shutter count 70D for £250 U.K. The face tracking works well with my 17-40L, but the onborad microphone is NOT as good as on the Nikon D810 (which I formerly used for videos.) I have just ordered a cheapo BOYA BY-M1 wired Lav mike for the 70D for now, but I may experiment with Tascams later.

I really wonder how you use 6D for videos while there are better options in this price range for video. Panasonic G80. It makes 4k while 6D only FHD and only 30 FPS. But since I have what I have will research what you did. One more thing - Magic Lantern. it is pretty complicated thing. It needs to be precisely set up. With Canon 6D we have particular different story and so this topic needs to be covered. I still didn't manage to set it. I even didn't find the option to make timelapses with electronic shutter with Magic Lanter. if you will give me a hint on how to do it, I'd be grateful.

Why have you stopped uploading? I bought a 6d Canon because of you like 8 months ago, and now you don't make videos no more. I feel tricked. HAVE YOU SOLD IT TO ME? haha Jokes aside it was the best purchase I made recently, it paid off pretty quick. I paired it with 24-70 mm Sigma series 1 (not a good lens avoid at all cost) but I made it work & 50 mm 1.8 (great lens) 50 bucks legit. Note : for still images the Canon 6d is great quality vise, the features are lacking, reliable focus points :1 the middle one For Video I have shot a couple of vids with it, also good quality but it lacks auto focus and it is pretty shaky if not on a tripod. You would need to pair it with a pretty good lens and gimbal to do any work.

Crazy. Just bought the 6d 2h ago and already you give me this ❤ btw I paid 350, while another auction the same day sold for 330.
It shoots nice looking video but suffers from pretty bad ‘moire’ when shooting certain textures. Aside from that, I love the video it takes.

Can you do more on your teleprompter software and setup
Something is wrong about the fps of your video. Did you missmatched them in post?

Yeah, I recorded it on OBS through a capture card so the frame rate was messed up

Lenses....24-105 f4, prime 85 1.8 a 100 macro all Canon. Just discovered "cinematic B roll" so I'm very excited to start creating those videos

6D video is garbage, its very poorly compressed, oversharpened, noisy and lacks detail, when you compare it to sony a7 you're blown away
Talking about making great videos but you cant do a good video yourself😂 You have a big problem with the FPS...
