6D video is garbage, its very poorly compressed, oversharpened, noisy and lacks detail, when you compare it to sony a7 you're blown away

what about photography, which one to take

I shoot on the cannon r8 and the native iso is 400 or 800 and on most cameras isn't the lowest number

I'm not sure if you can read this message but I followed your instructions installing Magic Lantern to my Canon 6D, i have issues when recording raw and only supports a low resolution video recording. When recording high resolution i can only record up to 4 seconds before it says frame skipped. Stopped. If anyone can help me out I really want to get into film making with this camera. Big thanks❤️

I want to take the card out of the camera and transfer it to the computer via the card reader. What is the safe way to do that without affecting the magic lantern on the card ?

Why have you stopped uploading? I bought a 6d Canon because of you like 8 months ago, and now you don't make videos no more. I feel tricked. HAVE YOU SOLD IT TO ME? haha Jokes aside it was the best purchase I made recently, it paid off pretty quick. I paired it with 24-70 mm Sigma series 1 (not a good lens avoid at all cost) but I made it work & 50 mm 1.8 (great lens) 50 bucks legit. Note : for still images the Canon 6d is great quality vise, the features are lacking, reliable focus points :1 the middle one For Video I have shot a couple of vids with it, also good quality but it lacks auto focus and it is pretty shaky if not on a tripod. You would need to pair it with a pretty good lens and gimbal to do any work.

HELP! Newbie question :) I have a Canon EOS 6D and need to film myself on camera. What are the settings to ensure I'm always in focus while filming since it doesn't have face tracking or a flip screen. Do I need to get any specifc gear or app to set this up? Thanks!

It shoots nice looking video but suffers from pretty bad ‘moire’ when shooting certain textures. Aside from that, I love the video it takes.

So I don't think you mentioned your name.....So I will call u "Dusty" for now because of your music. Anyway, 61, have been taking pics since before u were born. Started in high school with a Minolta SRT 201. Shooting B&W film and developing and making prints in my 9th grade B&W photo class. Ended up using Canon. Currently have a 5D, 5D ii and 6D. Always wanted to do video but knew it would be a HUGE learning curve, which it it. And SO much more time consuming than just shooting pics. But of course I freaking LOVE it!!! Bought an insta360x3 for my Asia travels and LOVE using that. Left The States in January '23 and currently living in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I LOVE Asia!!! Especially as photographer and now a newbie video dude. Asia is Mecca!!! SO much to shoot! Anyway have been using the insta360 for months. Editing the 360 video in insta software then finishing up in Premiere. Dude, freaking LOVE video. Changing the look of the video to a plethora of possibilities. But my fav. thing is adding music I love. Which of course I can't put on you tube because of copyright infringement, but I can send it to friends and I can also play at pubs on their big screen tv's. Have been thinking of learning the 6D video capabilities for a couple days and yours is the first video I have watched. Great video! Informative and entertaining! Some people "try" to be funny, and they're not, and it's quite annoying. But u are the perfect level of funny! So hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I've just ordered a 6D for stills, but if it's just simple TH-cam videos you want to make, then the even cheaper crop sensor Canon 70D with 'flippy screen' & dual pixel face tracking in movie mode is a great option. I got a really minty low shutter count 70D for £250 U.K. The face tracking works well with my 17-40L, but the onborad microphone is NOT as good as on the Nikon D810 (which I formerly used for videos.) I have just ordered a cheapo BOYA BY-M1 wired Lav mike for the 70D for now, but I may experiment with Tascams later.

I'm the owner of 6D. Bought it 6 months ago to master photography but want to make some video footage too and started researching and finally I'm here. I really wonder how you use 6D for videos while there are better options in this price range for video. Panasonic G80. It makes 4k while 6D only FHD and only 30 FPS. But since I have what I have will research what you did. One more thing - Magic Lantern. it is pretty complicated thing. It needs to be precisely set up. With Canon 6D we have particular different story and so this topic needs to be covered. I still didn't manage to set it. I even didn't find the option to make timelapses with electronic shutter with Magic Lanter. if you will give me a hint on how to do it, I'd be grateful.
