Hi I’m new to affinity or any graphic design programme I purchased AD as I wanted to make a spiral type record for my sons 1st dance song, I copied the text but was unable to paste it into the spiral I ended up typing the whole song. Since doing this my friends have asked me to do their first songs but I really do not want to type the whole song…do you know where I am going wrong?
There are so many possible reasons for things to go wrong but if you are using the artistic text tool and hover over the spiral and the cursor changes to 'on path' and then you paste, it should be applied to that spiral. Perhaps try it with a small chunk of text first to get the hang of it and then try it with more text.
