    I've had the Toto s550e for 5 years. Never had a problem with it. Easy to clean. Not much to it, really. Since the lid opens up when the motion detector is activated, guests are normally surprised. Some have said that there's a ghost in the bathroom. I've grown so accustomed to it, that I hate to use a restroom in public. Using toilet paper feels barbaric.

    I didn't know these existed before the pandemic. I thought they had to be installed with the entire toilet. That tells me the bidet industry has a marketing problem. I would have bought one years ago!

      I only knew about it because I had tried one in Japan. That was 15 years ago! The US is so far behind when it comes to butt hygiene.

    Great for homeowner but it seems these exotic remote controls could be a little awkward for visitors using the facilities for the first time. Because of the great TP shortage of 2020, I bought an inexpensive bidet seat. I'm hooked. Hope to upgrade after the crisis is over.

    How did looking into water fountains bring me here?

    I’m interested in getting one but they’re so oddly shaped and look involved to clean. I’d like to read comments from owners so I guess I’ll have to search user reviews at the manufacturer websites. This was informative, thanks.

    I like TOTO products in general. Every time I see a toilet in a public restroom I wish could be in my house it is a TOTO.

    I just spent 500$ to clean out our water line.....guy told us our toilet paper was too soft.....after that a bidet sounds a little more interesting.....even if it doesn’t powder your tush.....

      That's a really good point you make. Tissue hangs along the sides of the cast iron main and builds over time.

      Actually, the S550e is analogous to Mercedes' nomenclature. That is to say toto is more of an S-class than an F8 spider.

    Cleaning the nozzles seems like an issue. Shame no prices are included.

    • @Bidetsplus
      @Bidetsplus  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      All the bidet seats in our video include self cleaning nozzles which rinse the wash nozzle before AND after each use. This self cleaning feature works outstandingly well in fact. There's also a separate "nozzle cleaning" mode extends the nozzle so you can clean it manually if you prefer. As for the prices - sometimes prices can change which is why prices weren't included in the video. Hope this helps!

      I purchased the Swash 1400 recently and it self cleans the nozzle before and after each use also has a sanitize button if you should need it for a blow out. :0
      My husband said it was a breeze to install. But, one note, he did need to replace the toilet internal workings before it would stop leaking. Not, the Swash problem. Our new home is older and I don’t think the mechanism has ever been replaced. And, if you know how that goes with an older home, mess with one thing and it turns into a bigger issue always. ;)

    What is the purpose for all of the letter and numbers after the individually named seat?

    • @Bidetsplus
      @Bidetsplus  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The letters and numbers are just model numbers the manufacturers created. They're used to differentiate multiple models from the same manufacturer, e.g., BB 800, BB 1000, BB 2000, etc... A good analogy would be to compare with the automobile industry, e.g., BMW 325, BMW 425, BMW 525 etc... Usually the higher the number, the more recent the model. Hope this helps!
