    June, July, August, and the first half of September are the worst times to be in Japan. It’s hot and humid. Over 90° and over 90% humidity makes it quite miserable. Additionally, all of Japan is on vacation from the middle of July until late August. It’s school vacation for the kids and everybody takes off. The trains are way busy.
    Not sure if you noticed the plugs are the same but the voltage is different. Japan is 100 V, USA is 110 V. It can affect the operating of some devices.

      Thank you for watching and thank you for the additional tips! I’m not a fan of summer heat and humidity myself, but don’t want to discourage others who don’t mind it or who can only travel during summers

    I am a XXL and sadly had a very hard time fitting in their largest size. Convert your measurements to cm. That way when looking at the tags, you’ll see if you might fit to try on.

    hello and good recomendations!
    how much different have you found between booking in advance vs booking last minute, did you fill that there weren't much difference??

      Thank you for watching! For us, we found accommodations to be cheaper the day of on Airbnb and Agoda (a third party site for booking hotels). I think it’s because the owners want to attract more bookings rather than leaving a room vacant and not getting any $ at all

    Thank you for this video. I’ll be in Tokyo in June. I still don’t know exactly why it was a disaster for the first 24 hours? Was it any of the things mentioned?

    • @WithoutPlans
      @WithoutPlans  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for watching! It was a disaster for me because I left my travel pillow stuffed with all my clothes at the airport gate. It’s documented in my Japan Vlog #1 😭

    I have the Suica card in my iPhone wallet with 1,000 yen and it’s linked to my Visa. Why do you say Visa doesn’t work?
    **Actually was just reading that it works with the newest iPhone updates

    4:07 lot of mixed info on the visa one. Some say it works, some say it doesn’t. Trying it out on my phone it seems like it would allow it. So YMMV

      None of our Visas worked when we went in Feb 2024. But someone commented that with the new iPhone update, Visas will work. Others also say Visas will work while in Japan, just not with transactions on Japanese websites. Appreciate you watching the video!

    Just wonder if you breathe during this clip. You sound like there is no full stop and the whole thing in one single sentence, amazing!
    By the way, why you were stopped by the airport security?

    • @WithoutPlans
      @WithoutPlans  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for watching!! Tbh I breathe TOO much so had to edit it so you don’t hear me take a breath every 2 words 😅 I had to talk to security because I forgot one of my things at the gate and didn’t realize until I exited 🤦🏻‍♀️

    I don’t want to pack a lot of clothes but my booty is definitely NOT Japanese sized and I don’t wanna be with only 3 pairs of pants
