    First! OMG, this is such a great accomplishment. I'd like to thank my lack of a full time job.

    Yes.

    Awesome analysis by both of you guys. I think Dave basically wanted to point out that there will always be more than one way to skin a cat

    Just noticed the hat Dave, awesome. I retired from there a couple years ago. Thanks for the videos.

    being a good coach is also very simar to being a good parent, what you want for your kid isn't always what they need.

    Nobody talking about how the moved locations to the middle of a train station

      The old S4 compound was literally feet away from train tracks. I'm surprised more videos aren't interrupted by a train.

    Not sure if that was a freight train or Dave just getting excited

    Great information, Dave. The other guy needs to take something for his blood pressure, tho.

    I'm personally someone who doesn't think conjugate is the best for most raw lifters, it's great for equipped in my opinion and has been integral for powerlifting as a whole, we all owe a lot to it. I couldn't agree more on just trying to think critically through especially with your own work, there are still times where I have people do box squats, or block pulls, band bench etc. sometimes those things can be great for certain weak points, I personally as a whole in my own experience and in through the people I've trained have seen than doing more volume of the actual competition lifts seems to be more beneficial, especially simply for the reason of practice and the construction of a strong motor pattern. I can certainly see pros and cons in both sides though.

      John Backos They do a lot yes, but it's still not written in the Westside Conjugate Method so when I say I'm not a fan of Westside I'm talking about the programming system itself not the actual people who train there.

      James Gillam you dont even know what Conjugate is, educate yourself its about the principles, not the exercises.

      Definitely do not agree with you. Conjugate is belt on raw lifting. Westside method is more to gear but can be changed in which it isn't westside anymore.

    I want to say this with kindness. But Dave you gotta let the people you are interviewing talk. and then when they do at least pretend to pay attention. **

    who ever asked this question should just give up on life.quads are the primary mover of the squat end of story,and if u think you will get big hamstrings from squatting your proberly the guy who also thinks you will get a big back from benching and also the guy who thinks your back is what does the work when deadlifting.

    • @DumbGrunt.0311
      @DumbGrunt.0311 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      YOU sound like a BITCH well the back does do a lot in a deadlift but to be a successful puller you need traps, lats, erectors, glutes, and hams

    • @Dr_Footbrake
      @Dr_Footbrake 7 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      YOU sound like a BITCH you had me until you implied a strong back isn't important for deadlifting

    • @xxjr8axx
      @xxjr8axx 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i never said it wasnt but people act like your lats and traps pull up the weight instead of your legs and lower back

      YOU sound like a BITCH your spinal erectors are used for spinal extension as well as the posterior chain

      nothing more important for a raw bench than lat strength
