This is that shit that makes me happy to be a member of the human race. I know what I'm doing for the rest of the day. Thank you so much

The harmonic simplifications and the rhythm guitar style (even the muddiness to a degree, though I admit the recording quality isn't fantastic) are a big part of the style. You can always record your own backing tracks.

I get so much joy whistling and singing improvisations to your tracks.

Sounds muddy from my laptop but clearer with better speakers.
These backing tracks are very handy. Thank you Mr. Bergara!

      Hey Jack,
Check out Tim Robinson on here. He does loads of really good lessons for beginners explaining what arpeggios to use over what chords etc. He's got his own site too. Full of good stuff.
      Good luck.

same here. been playin blues 20 years, django 2. its overwhelming at first because you can no longer rely on the standard pentatonic.
Heres what i have discovered. You have to drill the chord changes into your head and hands. Once you know them--pick any song--then soloing begins. You cannot just solo in g or a or e anymore. You have to flow with the chord changes. Second and most critical for gypsy jazz is the arpeggios. 99% of this playing is arpeggios. Start w the major and minor arpeggios and play them over a 1,4,5 blues until you are familiar w the fingerings. Then go to Minor blues by django and do the same thing over the changes.
its like any other style. Starts painfully slow and then plateaus are reached. I also signed up for an online course by Stolecho Rosenberg. one month was around 50$ and it was way worth it.

A more sophisticated jazz approach to chording and soloing (for those like me transitioning from blues/rock to gypsy jazz) can be found here (spend some time - it's extensive) : www.jazzguitar.be/

as usual you can barely hear the changes with those playalongs.
the first beat is kind a rake and the second in completely muted strings .
the same playing with a drum kit .then there are awful armony semplifications :
the B sections open with a II V I minor: A Halfdiminished D7 that lands on A7 instead of Gm not D7 for 2 bars but A Hdiminished D7 .
Is there anybody that feel comfortable jamming on those playalongs ??
    maybe my fault
