6 1/2hp Blackstone hot bulb oil engine of 1920 vintage seen here running at the 2023 Astle Park Traction Engine Rally.
Originally made in Stamford Lincolnshire and supplied new to M.L.Blamey & Son of Truro, Cornwall.

That is a hot bulb crude oil engine?

No, a paraffin engine.
For crude oil it would need to be a semi diesel like this

6 1/2 horsepower may not sound like a lot considering you can get that from a kids motorbike nowadays, but put inti consideration the pure TORQUE.
you could probably run ANYTHING off this engine alone.
