When used correctly, a hesitation can be one of, if not the, most effective moves to have in your arsenal. In today's video, Coach Tim Martin breaks down how to develop a SICK hesi that you can use to start breaking down defenders off the dribble.
Side note: As you guys may know, Coach Tim has trained both Trae Young and Juwan Evans and, well, his methods work!

@Darwin Erik what happened ? Did you do it?
Great coaching, very detailed!! I needed these tips..thank you💯
great tutorials including how to read the defender and what to do
I watched Thai video one that and that Was enough for me I went to the court and got the hesi down now it a lethal moves in my bag thanks coach 💯💯
Great info, but the video is ruined by the camerman constantly panning away from the drill to see if the player made the shot. It doesn't matter if they made it, we're trying to watch the body movement.
Absolutely
great fundamental tips. explanation and demonstration make the moves easy to understand and repeat.
GREAT COACH WITH VERY DETAILED EXPLANATIONS 👍👍‼️

My man! Thanks for watching!
Thank you
This one move if used right can make any defender unguardable as long as you know how to read the defense and you have counter moves. I used this move 1st day and now I'm 10x better than I was yesterday
How old r u
Tim is 🐐
Very nice
Great!!!
Thanks Joe 🏀👊🏼
Who’s joe
Awesome
When to dribble and pass???
Tim so when u stared when with the hesi it looked like a carry. Idk if it’s a carry but I’m a jv player and I’ve been called every-time for that kinda “carry”. So is there any other ways I could do the hesi without carrying the ball
If you pound the ball hard you should be able to "float" it with out ever bringing your hand underneath the ball. You gotta put it into the floor HARD and then absorb it early as it's coming off the floor back up. Don't kill the momentum with your hand, but slow it down and ride it up with control this buys you the time to execute the footwork simultaneously. If you're gettin called for carry I'd bet it's because you're cupping the bottom of the ball rather than staying on top or on the side.

Hot Sauce 💯🙌🤾🏽♂️
U tripping bone collector meanst hesi
I'm a guard man ,I suck ... been training for so long
All the best players and scorers use this move. This tells you deadly you become once you master this
Facts but be aware defenders tend to jump so a simple crossover or push cross to the defenders top foot and boom another pull up opportunity.
WOW, his shoes look great, what's the brand?
Way of wade
I shoot with my right hand. Which hand should I hesi with?
Both!
If you're a righty, more than likely you'll be more comfortable shooting your pull up going left. That being said, which direction to you typically drive?
EGTBasketball i prefer driving right
Both
Your the best
Lol
Thank you Stormy - our group of coaches and players are the best for sure. #EGTFAMILY

today matamu
I swear it's a carry the second your hand is under the ball
Most refs don't call it unless it's fully under
Nah this one of the most common moves
if drake never made it as a rapper
No that's a carry
Next time have the camera man focus on the handles no one cares if the basket goes in. Every time he focuses on the basket we miss the next player getting into his stance and first dribble
You're teaching traveling
please explain
@@letsgetit90 a hesitation, interrupting the dribble of the ball mid air embodies the very definition of traveling
@Fresh Snickers I'm glad you noticed too
